hiya,
The only over the water I did Dennis was a spot of Irish back in the year dot,
unless you count my very early days 18 to 20 when driving in the Far East
but play the white man I was never that “narrer” even as a bairn, he never
stopped for a Jungle breakfast I’ll dare bet, and getting back to the Irish I
still get shoulder ache from pulling them in on the old Stranraar road, had
a run up that way with the car a while back a much better road now, it just
might tempt me out of my armchair methinks.

m probably wrong and I am sure someone on here wil correct me, fredm
Aye, Drapers used to do a lot of work out of Procter & Gambles at West Thurrock in the 60s & you are correct about their livery, Regards Larry.
Great pic of the ERF 8 wheeler, Bubbs
Brussel Sprout and Wheelbarrow ( as they were known ) were opposite Chippenham Market, for anyone that is interested… They had two of these and two Ford D series 6 leggers with V8’s in. Both of the ERF’s had ■■■■■■■ 250’s and Fuller boxes. I did a lot of deliveries for them, when I first started driving, with my ancient D-series 4 wheeler…
Great days and a great gang of blokes to work with - I used to really enjoy the farm deliveries. Not too sure when they packed up but it was a long time ago - late eighties perhaps?
Thanks for the memory, Bubbs. Magic!
A few early Bowker Bros wagons
Nice to see an oldie from Oxford, Bubbs (Timbmet Roadtrain).

The Maggie d on the right in the workshops.Looks like a short sleeper/drop bunk, must have been a bit of a rarity in the mid 60s?
