Scott's of Oldham

Hi Moomooland
The car looks like a Vauxhall from the 40’s/early 50’s possibly a wyvern.

It has the shape of a Vauxhall Velox LIP but look at the rear opening doors, door handles and the shape of the A pillar on the drivers door and it looks like it might be a Sunbeam Talbot, except the grille louvres run the wrong way :question:

Thanks for all your help but have passed it on to the experts at Classic Cars

Will see what they come back with as it is a real mystery :confused:

Hi Moomooland
They are good on that classic cars site…Its a 38 Hudson and there is another picture of this model on there.

Hi Paul, well there yer go a 38 Hudson :smiley: bloody hell would never have known that they all looked like V8 Pilots back then :blush: :blush: :blush:
The ‘Scotts’ site is getting bigger and better, love it, really good at bringing the memories back.
All the best
Dave Penn;

Good to see it solved, just the size of the car it had to be a yank.

Didnt know it was you Paul until I saw your ugly mug in the Chron,
I am trying to sober my dad up so I can ask him if he remembers anything about Scott’s.

Flattery will get you everywhere in fact they printed the wrong picture they took quite a few at the time and it should have been Jack Kershaw in the picture not i
Bang goes my anonymity :unamused:

I was wondering if anyone out there has a picture they could let me have for the web site of one of Scott’s B Series ERFS in Scott’s livery that they ran from 1975 onwards.
The only picture i have been able to find so far is the one below which is an ex Scott’s ERF Reg No KBU 943P that was sold to Bowies after Scott’s sold off all their Gardner 240s around 1979.
