rward:
… I believe in united we stand divided we fall but if Scotland vote to go alone good luck to them. when the [zb] hits the fan we all stick together anyway regards rowly ward

I haven’t posted in a while just because I have been to ■■■■ busy, but I have read as many posts as I can.

There are many going “well don’t ■■■■ ing post now then ■■■■■■■■

Nearly every country that has major political change, or broken up, or been created, has had a war/civil unrest/rebellion/political unrest/ religious troubles. Leading to war/civil war/religious war and many innocent deaths.

Am I a doom and gloom type of guy. NO. But I have been involved, no matter how little, in many many boiling point on this god forsaken planet.

Whether it is as a member of the Royal Navy or a representative of the UN as part of my Naval Career, it has been about Money (territory containing oil/minerals including gold and diamonds for example) or religion (religiously controlling the population of the said money laden lands) or politics (politically controlling the …well you know the rest).

Will we be fighting friends and family in the future. Who knows. Americans did in their Civil War :frowning:

I’ve served my time, paid my dues to Queen and Country, and seen nothing good from big political/religious/border changes.

There are of course exceptions. Russia has mainly been unaffected by breaking up and a lot of the smaller countries have done ok. There are many who have not. And even now the future of Ukraine is uncertain.

Unification of Germany has so far been successful despite many West Germans fearing financial doom.

However, where would/could it end, Argentina/Falklands. Spain/Gibraltar. Wales/England. Cornwall/England. UK/Europe. Alsace Lorraine/France/Germany/Belgium. Corsica/France/Italy. Canada(French/English)

To coin a Greek Philosopher and Rowly above, United we stand, divided we fall.[/i]
I feel I have to add this…
If pushed on the subject, If it was a UK vote, I would vote YES. Yes despite what I have written above, because the seeds have been sown, the doubt in the minds of the people set, this won’t go away, it will linger until the Union is broken up and the point proved, one way or the other :frowning:
The same could be said on the UK/Europe referendum. If we don’t pull out now, will we become a part of the “United States of Europe” and in a number of years, will we want seperation?
Maybe, maybe not!
Maybe as race/breed/species we are doomed. Evolution! Just ask a Dodo how it turned out for them!!!

Just think too how many wars involved england

irish lorries:
Just think too how many wars involved england

And think too,how many citizens of how many countries are damned grateful that we did get involved. And the millions of “English Men” as well as Scots, Welsh and yes, Irish men whose bones still lie on forgotten battlefields around the world. And where would this world be if “The English” hadn’t got “involved”■■ A ■■■■ sorry state, not least under the ■■■■ jackboot!!

I didn’t say that was always a bad thing if the English didn’t get involved in world war 2 we would all be dead

Unless you work in Hollywood, where the septic’s still think they won every battle ever fought, all on their own!!

That’s the weakness of the EU. They say they have a united foreign policy but when it comes to activating it they all suddenly consider their own interests and all you get is a mealy mouthed comment viz : Ukraine.

If Putin marches in, which he may well do, don’t expect any action from Europe. It will have to be NATO who respond. i.e. The USA and us.

So what is the point of us being EU members?

none whatsoever old boy but were in and in these politician scum bas…s will keep us no matter what tripe they dish out heading towards next election
