What’s not to like about the jocks being independent.
No more whinnying labour mps. In Westminster. Thankfully never a labour government again. Six million benefit junkies off the books. All the public sector jobs that deal with matters not related to jockshire back south of the border. The navy’s ships built in Portsmouth. The snp say they want more immigrants, there must be a few container loads in Calais they can have. They came to the party 300 years ago bankrupt. For confirmation google how the jock banks bankrupted the country, with the Darien scheme in Central America in the 1600s. They can’t blame the rest of the uk for all there woes. Please please please vote yes. Then we can be rid of you at last.if they don’t vote yes they will have more devolution (devo max). Yep paid for with English tax. Please go

0 A small reminder of the price paid by Scotland after the last no vote, north of London suffered similar pain.
^ This.
As for North of Watford I’ve argued with more northern Thatcherites on here than Southern ones.A bit like the Notts miners as opposed to the Kent ones in '84.

Oh yes, it is in everyones interest for the Scottish people to vote yes.
I can’t help but think that all the slogans and buzzwords take peoples eye off the ball. Terms like “stronger together”, “close relationships over hundreds of years”, etc…
Its a simple question, should Scotland govern its own affairs? To some extent it already does, and apparently, even though they have not voted yet, they are promised “more control” by the people who are saying “we should stay together”. So, logically if Scotland was totally independant then it would have total control, it could still maintain its close relationship with the UK too. And as such would still be “strong” (whatever that means) with its ensuing relationship with it close “cousins and neighbours” ?
Whats not to like about Independance ? The whole UK virtually says, same old , same old,…as regards Polotics and poloticians. Scotland actually has a chance of getting some new blood, new people, new ideas and more accountability closer to home ? And i’m sure its not short of bright people to lead it foreward without being shackled by the old boys network built up over hundreds of years. Good luck with it.
Of course if Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown beggin for the vote swings anything , then you deserve to have everything they’ve done repeated , and worse. Much like when Jimmy Saville done charity runs for the NSPCC !!!

Well put that man, I note you are from the great city of Liverpool, a city that has had a raw deal from Westminister
Liverpool has lost under Westminister
Its jobs
Its confidence
Its rightful place in the world
Its innovation
Why so London & the banks can get even richer, Liverpool needs it freedom like Scotland.

Labour seem to be moving us in the right direction though. We thought we had some good candidates for a local MP, but the Labour party knew we wern’t smart enough and sent us Luciana Berger, she’s failed as a prospective MP somewhere else, i just can’t remember where. And now, she’s our voice in Westminster.
Not sure if any prospective MP’s, or actual MP’s have been fastracked north of the border ? But its good of Westminster to help us out like this, i mean we had no one smart enough to fill her shoes.
Maybe Scotland could vote no to Independance, and there will be lots of educated scholars from “down south” to help 'represent them" in Westminster.
Or, they may vote yes to Independance if they think they have a wealth of intellect and talent to lead their own country ?
I personally hope they vote Yes, and i also believe if this happened it would shake the rest of them up to actually listen to people. As opposed to running roughshod over them with regards to what buisnisses want.
Its no good being stronger together, if stronger together means making it easier to privatise the NHS, send troops to Iraq without recourse, follow the every whim of the EU without question. Ok, we all never got a vote on the EU one, but Ireland did. Twice.

Aye she was born in London so shes knows a lot about Liverpool’s unique culture. I will be sad to see the end of the Union but I want a yes vote for the same reason as you.
Winseer:
If it’s more than two thirds either way, I’d say that’s the “right vote”.
51/49 is terror itself.
That’s how civil wars start.
The only way forward is full independence.
I agree with Winseer unless the vote goes either way by a large majority, although the vote might stand its not really a conclusive vote for either side and I think that could cause trouble in the future.
But I’m sure the final push from the likes of Cameron, and the other [zb]s in Westminster and it will be a resounding YES,
Love how the queen has made a statement saying she will not be making a statement like a big kick in the balls to Davy boy that was going to be the next door he chapped.
It’s all too late for this last minute “time table” by the party leaders should have been done months ago you bunch eh clowns!
Honestly do not know why Davy is coming to Scotland he is a hated figure.
It’s going to be really tight, months ago there was no way the yes campaign would win this vote but now you just don’t know. Every vote counts!

I’m still undecided
Any person with any grasp of the monarchy would know the Queen would never express her opinion.
Personally the worst thing the likes of Cameron etc has done (that assumes they actually want a no vote ) is get involved and throw a load of scare stories about independence and generally seem to talk down to the Scottish people. They are now panicking and have started to grovel like mad, which quite frankly embarrassing and is only making it worse for the better together campaign.
If I had the vote I’d be my political leaning would be to vote no, but the way these clowns have been running their campaign even I’d swap to a Yes vote.

Funny you should say that. Didn’t the last Labour Government get in due to the amount of Scottish seats ?
And now, Scotland is under a Cons rule when it has one Cons MP ? I’m not seeing any Country getting its majority, although a Union is. And its a cause of angst. Of course electoral reform is a big issue anyway. Last time i looked voting SNP was not an option for me. Although it was for a lot of Scots and they took up the option ?
I echo Simon Heffers recent piece The Mail.Basically his final sentence was…Clear off, good riddance and tell us where to send the bill for the last 300 years of subsidy.
