I have been a follower of F1 for nearly 30 years, and while I’m not his biggest fan, I want to wish him a speedy recovery.
Ken.
Get well soon Schumi. Hope he makes a full recovery. Sound quite serious if the news reports are anything to go by. :(
I never liked him but you have to admire the bloke
With his arrogance on the racing circuit being widely known , I hope he didn`t push other skiers off the slope .
Worrying news, first reports sounded like it was minor injuries, but seems to have got worse as the days has gone on.
I know a lot of people didn’t like some of his actions and on the circuit he was ruthless and calculating, but to be honest most good drivers I’ve met would run their granny off the track if it means winning.
But having worked in motor racing for many years including in the support paddock for F1 races when he was still at Ferrari, I’ve never heard anybody who worked with him, including mechanics and tyre fitters, who’ve had anything but a good things to say about him as a work colleague.

Hope this ■■■■■■■ comment doesn’t come back to haunt you ■■■■ , what a ridiculous post . Not much news coming out at the moment , most websites are black which hopefully is down to overload . Hospital will issue a statement at 11am tomorrow , after a cerebral hemorrhage it’s very common to be coma induced so let’s hope the delay in his status is a positive sign .
Thoughts with Michael and his family . Negative comments are not needed at this time .
Update, Gary Hartstein’s reports are coming across as fairly hopeful , he’s a man to understand these situations and prognosis so let us all wish for good news .
come on shuyi you can beat this like you beat everybody else luved the guy brilliant at his job good luck
Latest update on BBC News is that he has lesions on his brain and some brain damage.
Odds in his favour for recovery but the quality of that recovery can’t be guaranteed

When I worked at Bridgestone I chatted with him many times. The guy was probably the nicest driver of them all out of the car.
I would’ve of rather talked to him than some of the British drivers.
I really hope he makes a full recovery but I’ve got a feeling he won’t.[PENSIVE FACE]
Hope the bloke makes a full recovery. Its strange that a lot of the top racing drivers survive a dangerous sport, only to be injured or killed after retiring. Graham Hill and Mike Hailwood are two that were killed in other accidents.
Booked in when??:

I think we need to blame our xenophobic press for many people’s opinion of him. Some of them are still living in 1939.
News is still not very positive,
Get well soon schui
No need for a second operation at the moment which is “good” , doctors have managed to slightly lower his body temperature which will slow the brain down ,hopefully to ease the swelling .
I’m certain this situation is getting a lot more press coverage in Europe than we’re seeing out here , so any further updates will be appreciated . Go Michael .
Had a look at a couple of German newspapers(via google translate) and the only new news is that the next scheduled update will be late tomorrow morning(31-12-13).Age,fitness and speed of emergency response are the positives here.
Bbc news app says he has been put in an induced coma at low temperature to aid recovery. It looks like its just a waiting game now, cannot think of many people mentally tougher to take it on though.
Or physically fitter. Forty some years old and fitter than most 19 year olds
Michael Schumacher’s management team are adamant that he will race again.
Although it might be against Stephen Hawking.
My own boy was in a bad car accident a few years ago, we were told his injuries included brain damage, he fought it and made a good recovery, as like me he is a determined lad and does not give in easy, he is now head technician at 26 at the local Ford dealership making me very proud.
I don’t know how bad Schumacher’s injury in comparison is, but as proven in our case the words “brain injury” do not necessarily mean bad news. I do hope he makes a full recovery.
I remember a story about him getting a taxi to the airport with his family, the taxi driver said there was absolutely no way that he could get there in time, Schumacher asked if he could take the wheel and did succeed in getting there, he paid the taxi driver a large tip,… that he probably used to buy some new underpants
