Scania

Norfolknewbie:
Well for whats its worth out of the various trucks I have driven list not exhaustive and may be added to Actros, Axor, DAF Cf, DAf XF, Strallis, Renault, Volvo and Scania it has only been the Scania that has given me back ache. I thought it was the kind of work I was doing - cages of store produce off a double deck trailer meaning I had to bend to go into lower deck to pull cages out of. Nope it was the Scania seat!!! Personally I will drive anything as long as the money is right but when they affect my back then no sorry my health is most important factor and for that its a big fat NO NO for Scania

its got nothin to do with the seat...its you, you`re a ■■■■■ :grimacing:

Going from a topline to a FH16 700

■■■■ Volvo got less storage space then the Scania had which I was quite surprise with I’m sure Switch will agree with this comment…

Scania all the way

NorfolkNewbie… What do you currently drive ?

His wee winkle with his six fingers!

His wee winkle with his six fingers!

Lol

To quote parksy on why we no longer buy scania ‘‘scania have dropped the ball over the last decade’’ our fleet manager thinks they are extremely poor value.

Personally i think he is getting brown envelopes under the table from daf and merc

I bought a Scania 4 series 6x2 124 420. I kept it 7 YEARS then sold it last year when I retired (temporarily  ). I sold it for 40% of the purchase price. That’s why Scania is popular. I have to say also reliability was first class. Too compare, I ran a Daf a few years ago, when I sold that (after 7 YEARS) I got 10% of the purchase price. Reliability on the Daf? I was forever changing air valves, compressors, air dryers even suspension valves. Regards Kevmac47. If I was buying another motor now it would be a Scania. Ps I also averaged 9.5 mpg over the time I ran the Scania.

iDriver:
I drive them the majority of the time, other times its Volvos and rarely Mercs. But I don’t understand this thread because they all do the same thing, I get in, do my checks drive from A to B and then back to A with some unloading in between.

So long as it does that with as little fuss as possible I can’t say I really care what badge is on the front :unamused:

So why is the picture next to your name a scania badge

So donkeys like u have something to think about.

i have prety much only ever driven scanias apart from 2 week in a premium the less said about that the better  at the moment im in a daf xf ssc and although i think its a great workhorse and for living in its superb i find the 3 over 3 box clunky and hard work with weight on the sound system is ■■■■ too
id swap for a topline tomorrow auto or manual
