Welcome to the forum, Aleschaap. Your LV is indeed superb. I cannot wait to see it on the road. Full marks also for putting its documentation on the internet. I have spent many a happy hour attempting to translate it.
If I understand it correctly, it was built as a tractor unit (LV75-30) and extended by Beers when it was new and, at some stage, the original engine was replaced by a D11. Please correct me if I am wrong.
thanks Anorak and Erf continental for your compliments. the tractor was build as a L75-34. I will try to put some more information on this forum. The last time was failed but i’ll try again in little pieces. Anorak you have more to tranlate now!
this is a brocure of the firm of Beers Rijswijk. I think the letter ‘V’ in LV means ‘voorbesturing’.

Fascinating stuff- thanks for posting. My translating skills are improving rapidly! On the page headed “Laadvermogen” (“load capacity”, at a guess. ), the drawing clearly shows a de Graaff cab, similar to the one at the 1959 Amsterdam Show. I would guess that the brochure dates from late 1958- is this correct, do you think?
Edit- the picture of the uncabbed LV75 confirms that the film on Facebook shows such a chassis in the workshop. I could not get the link to work earlier, but it works if you access it from the FB page. The film was posted on 4th January, if you need to find it: nl-nl.facebook.com/oudevrachtwa … d?filter=3
The LV appears at about 6:59. I guess that the workshop was that of Beers?
I’ve just come across this: chauffeursforum.nl/index.php … 9-auxerre/
According to the author of the post (half-way down the page), his Paul & van Weelde cab was trimmed with hardwood and leather. The PevW cabs always looked a bit posher than the similar-looking Roset ones, with the chrome trim around the windows. Imagine the face of a British driver, when confronted with a lorry interior so trimmed, in the early 1960s!
Some more “new” content has been posted since the last time I had a look: transportnostalgiezuid-limbu … 78&lang=en
This LV55 has one of those Paul cabs that JWK posted recently:
Another super contribution from Michel- thank you. Is there any more from that magazine?
I notice that the top photograph is the same one as that I found on Facebook (see above). I could not find, in the text, any mention of the build date of those chassis. Perhaps someone with a working knowledge of Dutch could translate it?
