they look like toys.
In that case can I have a play
they remind me of the fm globes, i think there was a decent room in them, an engine hump, but you could stand up on that!
Hi,
To dig up an old topic but does anyone have pics of British P cab topliners?
Thanks
Carl,
Just browsing some old threads from the forum and came across thsi one,
While at Scania I sold 2 of these to a customer in Shropshire, the P Cab Topline was an off line fit in Holland as suggested, absolute nightmare to spec up and get confirmed pricing - believe it or not the only option you could not have was a night heater !!!
Had to retro fit them when they arrived, also took an extra 4 weeks to build.

when i was an owner driver, i was big mates with mick skan. hes a good old sort from bridgnorth. his son took over the helm once he passed his class one and ended up with about 6-7 motors. not sure if he is still running wagons as i heard he has moved into 4x4 breaking
they look smart

The CF Space is a great motor and can’t be classed as a Tonka Toy as it has lots of storage and you can stand up in it easy. As you would know if you’d spent any time in one.
Yella,
Yes it was Mick and Warwick Skan - sold them a quite a few trucks, great guys - not seen them for a while now, they wanted the P cab topline, because visibilty is better for distribution and it was lighter than the R cab, also easier to get in and out of when on multidrop, I have some photos of the interior somewhere I’ll see if I can find them.

I’ve seen a few of them here in Denmark, also a few longline heavy haulage boys as well.

thats the boys ant, ive had some good times with mick over the years, he had a bad accident in a merc spinter about eleven years ago. he came to my wedding on crutches and it was not long after the accident. when he got tto the reception e nearly burst into tears, he hobbled out of the car into the reception and then realised he had to climb up a set of stairs
Yella,
Found this while searching for the photos of the P cab topline interior

Well where i worl we have a CF and i judge a truck on this if it has 3 steps on the way up its a proper truck if it has 2 ala CF/P-cab/FM its a tonka toy,the CF is the biggest of the three thou and in fairness to Daf the windows go all the way into the door unlike the other two.
