the pictures are the wrong way around the white one has a crane fruehauf fridge and the bottom picture is a freight bonalac both heavy b… at around 20000 kgs tare, both were meat railers though.
The spread axles were good fun with hanging meats, had some arse nipping moments,

Effluent services,based at Glasson dock lancs sorry but it is a very old photo around 69/70 ish.
First post for me chaps,
My parents stored a caravan on Moss Lane in Macclesfield, must be 20 - 22 years ago.
The land was part of Effluent Services yard and I can clearly remember a brace of very, very beaten Vabis tractor units that were being used as shunters.
Perhaps the Vabis in the pic was one of those very trucks ?

Here are two photos in color taken in Volos on route to Bagdad, and I´m almost sure that Bills 111 belonged to the same firm… before it was sold. This firm was to my knowledge the only firm hauling for Schenker that had painted their lorries blue and yellow at that time, and had yellow canvas with the Schenker logo on it.
… and yes, it´s a 111 on the photos

It´s a 111, despite the old style on the badge.

this was the last scania my dad ran on its last day with his company, it was off to be part exd for some 7.5 tonne fords. he’d saved it from a one way trip to the middle east and put it on traction for ferrymasters for 2 or 3 years.It was a 48t , 50 mph then your in the red ,5 speed + splitter job, but the driver passed my borderer going down medway bank, out of cog going well over 60. It did have a habit of breaker the gearstick though , right in the gaiter where it came through the bottom of the cab.It was an H reg 69/70 and the the photo was taken in about 1980 so it didn’t look too shabby for a 10 year old.
