Does anyone remember seeing this lorry? It looks like a factory demonstrator on a “European tour”- Swedish reg, GB trade plates and horsepower in three different languages, just to make sure! The trailer looks like a German specification one to me.I think I got the picture off one of these pages: mellislastbilar.se/scania/0- … cania2.htm. Change the number 2 in both places and you can see 11 pages of LBs.
Swiss trailer Lanz + Marti.
Well spotted sir. My other deliberate mistake was the Norwegian reg.
How about this one i saw it in Malta 2 years ago…i thought it was new,
John
Was it in use John? looks a lovely motor, cant say I’ve ever seen one with a sun visor like that one though very unusual

Hiya the Scania was at the Malta truck show…now i may be wrong but a Irish company may of brought it back over
to ireland and resprayed it in their livery…maybe…maybe not.
John

That sunvisor looks like a volvo one maybe Scania might take a leaf out of some other companys books and build a retro model like ie.Fiat 500/Beatle/mini/lambretta /vespa/you never know
Lovely idea but i dread to think how much they would charge as it would be expensive anyway but at Scania’s prices!

Yes a tidy looking outfit, but the Red should be Silver IMO, mind you the drivers mate looks useful.
That trailer kind of reminds me of some of those Italian fridge boxes we used to see so often

I know its a restored/show pony but it is nice, very well done & the colours bring back memories!
Yes a real tidy good looking pair of vehicles indeed & with good colour schemes, shame about the advertising hoarding on the roof of the Paynes unit though.
It is indeed a stunner- the lorry I mean. The trailer looks like a 50s or early 60s one, but the fridge unit appears to come from a later era. Maybe Harry will know more (see above!). Also, are those running-lights-on-rubber-stalk things typical of early 70s Eurpean vehicles?
It is a shame the Horst Anhalt motor couldn’t have had a retro tank trailer behind it, although that is probably still working.
