[album]3623[/album]here is a picture of a 140 i just imported from Cyprus
I know this truck I’m sure it used to pull a live fish trailer, there where two one day cab & that sleeper cabbed one, they used to be in Piraeus now & again waiting for the boat to Cyprus. I’m also fairly certain Steve Partridge used to go to Israrel in them now & again too on the fish job…
your dead right its the same truck, it was bought new in 74 from Beirut Scania by Phitos Transport in Limassol , Cyprus. it had a sleeper conversion and ran with live fish in tanks on a short flat trailer. Steve Partridge did drive the 140 and Mr Phitos drove his daughters to there weddings in it and then parked it in a shed for 10 years, the last tacho is dated 02. its done only 460000KM and runs like a dream.
Keith Jordon, leave it where it is, were to old and to fat, yeh right

Nice one Chap, good to know its history & nice to know I’m not losing the plot, it was always in Piraeus waiting for the boat. I was good mates with Big Steve & funnily enough I’m mates with KTJ too.
I also have the day cab 140 but it is just a cab and chassis now. i would post a picture if it if i knew how but i am new to this trucknet thing. i also bought a 1983 142E that was once a Phitos Transport truck, its a 6X4 with 95000 KM genuine, mint and totally original, i may sell this one if it went to a good home.
Here are a few pictures of september in hamburg.
In the last week we finished the caption and the scania is ready to earn the money i spend in the last time…
Maybe we will visit an oldtimer-festival in england with her in the next year.
If there is a meeting in the south of england what you guys here can recommend than i would like to hear.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all and thanks a lot!
Let me ask a question:
Is there someone who has to sell an old aircon-unit for the roof?
It doesn’t have to work or to be complete.
I want it only for optical reasons
Every offer is welcome.
Tried to find one in Germany but til now without any success.
You english guys have some scanias with an aircon-unit in your oldtimer-scene, i think
(The “Essex”-Tractor for example).
So if there is one for sale, please let me know.
@dm 61
Most of the stickers on my lorry are from nice guys in this forum .
Some are from ebay.
The “YU”, “TR” and “SYR” are repros.
I definitly want to go to england, but first i have to figure out the “where” and “when”.
Is here in this forum a timetable or something about the upcoming saison?
I know gaydon but for me it’s a little too far for only a weekend.
A festival near the coastline in the south would be perfect and possible for me to make.
All the best from germany!

hej wim very nice and familiar interior had one for 8 years inservice still on the yard ,in a sorry condision in moment, but that may give inspiration to do something, nice motor you have, regards benkku
Looks like you would have to walk across the cab to change gear unless the “second” man changed gear when the driver gave the instruction !! Cheers benkku,Bewick.
hej dennis,no problems for me, have arms like a monkey, can even roll down the right side window from driverseat

,cheers benkku. by the way it was a god motor to drive,in every way,
Hi,
Excuses for my late reaction. It’s nice to be here again!
The gearstick is coming out of the floor at the middle of the cabin, too far away Scania noticed.
So the gearstick is bend towards the driver seat, having no problems at all changing gears.
More of this truck is to find here:

And, for the V8 specialists over here, take this:
SUPER
These look like matchbox trucks!
Very cool shot!
Hi Unterflur how are you Jorg? brilliant Pictures of the 141 which crossing would you prefer to come to Engalnd ■■ Because
Gaydon is less than 2 hours from the south coast ! And it’s a brilliant show !!
Regards Jimski
Hi Jimski!
Nice to hear from you!
Thought there was something wrong with the picture-cd.
I’m fine, thanks. Today i fixed the hydraulic-cylinder for tilting the cab and now it works.
I heard gaydon must be very good, but i would prefer a festival near the coast.
For me it’s 500KMs one way minimum and i think that’s enough for a weekend (to be honest i’m afraid of left hand driving… )
And in this moment i don’t know how much holiday i will have.
Please tell me if you know a date for a interesting festival.
I searched the internet for english festivals but i didn’t found anything.
Hope we get a chance to meet somewhere!
For wim i attached a few pictures i made in Glogow/Poland last year.
This L141 will be replaced soon and maybe there is someone to save it from beeing scrapped.
If anyone is interested i can try to make a contact.
