Nive picture Stellan , i can never get google earth shots to print out on my pc, - what’s the secret ?
The way I would copy a map shot is to press the PrtSc/SysRq key which copies anything on your screen.I save mine in Picassa.

I have a free program called “PStudio” I got with my camera when I bought it, and using the command “capture” it´s easy to cut out what you want… and save it in your computer.

Hi LB76 nice photo mate 3 classics together ! I’ve never seen an 88/89 with a door peep mirror before like the old Scannies
Regards Jimski
Hi Jimski, a lot of the Scandinavians had those door mirrors mate , i had one in a 141 i had too lhd of course - never saw a rhd with one!
Most of the F88/F89 I have driven has had that door peep mirror, so it´s probably an accessory for the Scandinavian models. The smaller Volvo and Scania had it too at that time on some models, so I believe it was optional when ordering a new lorry.

I had a vague feeling that door peep mirror was an accessory made for Scania and Volvo, and maybe for other makes as well. It was a firm called “Floby” making accessories for heavy vehicles that made it, here it is in a page from their brochure… all orange things on the second page are accessories made by this firm
I´ll post a photo of the first F89 I drove that had a door peep mirror in the “F89 thread” later

Thanks Stellan , it’s strange the difference in thinking, in the UK most of the extras that are listed would not normally be seen, regarded as un-necessary or “dont need that” by many who failed to appreciate that making life just that little bit easier could pay dividends in the long run!
and stellan, floby did many cab,s to,for scania- vabis , volvo and ohter importlorries to, was a very wanted cabmaker whit simular cab,s as bege, hej benkku
You could get a Floby cab on Volvo as long as N86/N88 was produced, and for Scania it was possible to get it until the “T-series” came. But if you wanted to have a Floby cab on an L/LS110 you had to remove the Scania cab, buy a new cab from Floby and replace the brand new Scania cab. As long as Floby made cabs for lorries they had a timber frame under the panels of pressed steel. Their cabs were hold to be warmer and more silent then the Scania cab, so many drivers preferred Floby because of that

All the V8 Scanias my father drove for NorrgÃ¥rd had those “motortäcke” and “växelspaksdamask”, they made the cab much quieter. The loud knocking of the fuel pump was defeaning without that växelspaksdamask.
I might be wrong but i think Tanker Bill had several of the ROO’s. there are quite a few photo’s of them about.
