Just come through westbound and the transit money raising van is tucked in the middle of the contractors vans with its camera stuck out the back window.
Nothing wrong with that, if people stuck to the limits through the roadworks, then possibly there may be less accidents and consequently less closures within them as well.
If you are stupid enough to speed through them, then no-one to blame but yourself.

How does hiding a camera van improve road safety? If the first you know of it os when a letter drops on your doormat three days later, you are still driving inappropriately through tje roadworks.
I’m not defending speeding here, but these so called ‘safety cameras’ are purely and simply to raise revenue. If they want to reduce speeding, put them on clear veiw.
ok so on the M1 last week I had to sit at 50mph for 20+ miles and I saw the grand total of ZERO people working.
I don’t mind sticking to the speed limits but some of them are beyond stupid and the 50mph probably causes more issues than it stops ( cars doing ‘50’ which is really 48 trucks doing 50 and sitting 1 inch from the car who wont move over as they are doing 50!).
why not have variable with cameras? also don’t 99% of roadwork’s put the yellow cameras up before any road works start now?
A bit like the whole Police ‘service’ nowadays. Originally formed to PREVENT crime, now used to try and catch people AFTER the crime.
As the Captain says… “If they want to reduce speeding, put them on clear veiw.”

Roadworks almost always result in narrow lanes when maintaining a 3 lane carriageway which would be another reason to slow the speed down.
I wish the police would spend as much energy catching bad drivers. There are too many dodery old fools on the road who will never have their collar felt as they dont go fast.
on the M74 at Larkhall J7 N/B , there is a temporary barrier on the hard shoulder with a sudden 40 limit for 400 yds , NO previous one mile marker or anything else, . no lane closure , then back to 70… been there over a week now and no work being done…does anyone slow down ■■? ,NO… and I don’t either…

the outside lane yes is slightly narrower, however isn’t this offset by taking longer to pass as your all sat at the same speed?

However you did drive 20 miles down a stretch of motorway without a hard shoulder, narrower lanes, no central reservation crash barriers etc. Part of the reason why its 50 has nothing to do with protecting workers. The fact you seem to need that pointing out to you is quite worrisome.

so the M25 has parts with no hard shoulder and its 70mph, there is a crash barrier you ■■■■■■■ know it all its on both side ( the temp metal style and the normal one).
oh I forgot conor knows everything about everything. 20 miles of road works with barriers either side and a 50 mph limit is nothing more than a way of making money nothing to do with safety nor protecting the non existing workforce nor because of a lack of hard shoulder.
Popcorn anyone?..
don’t forget the minstrels
Was there last friday aswell

What like the big mandatory 50 signs on the entry to the roadworks ?,
Clear enough, if people don’t want to do it
a whack in the pocket may focus the mind.
Unless we come up with another system just an admin fee to cover costs and 6 points instead rather than scammering ?
Or absolutely no fine and a month ban.
Pop your alternative plan up

shame on you.!!!.dont you know that conor and his condescending know all pals are superior beings to us common normal truckie fraternaty. they know everything connected to truckie life on this planet, galaxy and solar system known to mankind at this date, and also any future galaxys as yet to be discovered? we are all waiting to be transported to this pedantic paradise where nobody ever speeds or does anyything wrong whatsoever, everyone works to exact h&s rulebooks,if your tired,or not happy about any aspect of your perfect job, then you just refuse to do it,and it magically gets done by someone else.windy??,parkuop,snow■■?.parkup…if you have any opinion on any aspect of life that dosent comply with said parallel universe, then you will be deemed to be a complete zoomer and treated with similar contempt to agency drivers in a rdc waiting room as obviously everybody will have to have no job whatsoever in this world other than working from day to day for a couple of manipulative lying agencys where you are as good as your availability for your next shift… …so please do not disagree and question these superior being posts,as the inevitable replies save me the bother of making a cup of horlics when I cant get to sleep…
There is an average camera on that stretch too so maybe he was looking for phone / seatbelt money?
