Just needs a bit of pointing and it’ll be good as new!
And the reason why I was in Rome in the first place…

I’d say Labourier, built in Mouchard, Jura. Concerning your beautiful pictures of ancient Rome, I would have loved to live in those times; as a healthy and wealthy landowner, of course, surrounded by lovely female slaves, private marble-lined swimming pool…

Cheers for the info Froggy!
Not sure about living in ancient Rome, but the thought of being surrounded by lovely female slaves… where’s that time machine when you need one eh
The Berliet Stradair chassis was used to build a few buses too. Not an achievement in matter of esthetics…

Well, not my turn but only to highlight the splendid range of Renault-vehicles with glorious names as Goelette, Galion and Voltigeur, ending in the SG-series (as per Super Goelette) which also did
have a split-off in the range of Alfa Romeo vans.
Some great cultural pictures of Rome Patrick. Thanks for posting them. I was there in 1999.

Quite a mean looking machine. it was probably quite nimble around back streets in cities.

It really begs the question though , what was he up to round the back streets of Rome?

Morning Richard,
Yes we are both fine, still waiting for that lottery win! Hope you and your family are ok as well?
That Galion is a nice little motor, plenty big enough! Had a great time in Anglesey, been meaning to go there for 30 years as I used to deliver Pheasant feed to all the shoots up there just after I passed my HGV, finally got round to it! Cheer’s Pete
It’s raining, hard, so got some time on the computer…
An old town scene, around the '60’s, plus a street view of the same place today. The beautiful building with the large slate roof and 5 arches to the centre left of the pic has been replaced by an ugly monstrosity…such is progress…not…
The town is Vermenton, just off the A6 south of Auxerre
