I must confess I had never heard about that Museum in le Mans, though it looks as interesting as the one in Mulhouse! Thanks for all the pictures.

It does get a bit overlooked I think, although it’s right next door to the circuit itself, you can even park up the tractor unit on the premises
If you’re a petrolhead (which I am) it’s like being a lad in the sweet shop!
Have got that one in Mulhouse on my list for several years now, I really need to get that one sorted

I’ve been to the Schlumph museum in Mulhouse twice although not recently and can highly recommend it, well worth a day out of any motor enthusiasts life, and if you’re into Bugattis there is nowhere like it. Parking is not good though, seem to recall a long walk.

Welcome back Patrick. Quite a return with all these fabulous photos!! Pete was beside himself with worry, well almost [emoji3][emoji3]
Great to have you back

Mix of old black and whites…

Difficult to say, but could be a Bernard. I’ll try to know more.

Hiya,
Thank you I have had a very pleasant time viewing all the pics I’ve looked
through them twice. The only problem I have with visiting some museums
is having to stand beyond the roped off areas and it would be nice to see
the vehicles/exhibits close-up, bonnets up so’s you can see the mechanic’s
and get a better idea of how these prehistoric motor’s worked and how
difficult or otherwise they were to work on, I still thoroughly enjoyed the
pics and will bookmark them for future viewing, thank you.

According To J. F. Colombet (chief editor or Charge Utile Magazine), it’s probably a Mack NR fitted with a locally produced cab.

Thank you Paul…like you I’d have gone for a Bernard, but my old computer couldn’t enhance it without blurring it…so thank you to M.Colombet…its a nice photo, we have several big Mills like that in our area, with one or two being tidal as opposed to river driven, none working of course…

Cheers Mr. Gill!
Aye, bit of a downer that is, staying behind the “do not enter” signs, but still, one does get an idea of how it worked… some brave men that had to be I reckon, doing 150odd and more miles an hour in such a contraption… Would any of todays F1 drivers be able to do the same?

The TR was usually a handsome beast, but that livery looks especially good on it. Notice the woman in the foreground of the picture- she’s photographing the lorry, while the people stand around the racing car!

The mystery vehicle looks like one of those ex-war jobs, upon which M.Loheac based his first creation:

That is the vehicle that’s taking you to your funeral…next Friday, 10.00 am, the paupers cemetery, Amsterdam …

We might have to reschedule that Senior, as I might be a bit busy then…
Was expecting something a bit more luxurious for “the last ride” though to be honest… if I didn’t know better I would have sworn you’re a Yorkshireman!

Remember this then Senior, when you came round to visit Amsterdam, and me and the gang (Johnny, Pete, David Jr and Richard) stripped that dodgy Peugeot of yours to the ground! If I remember correctly it was Mrs Fergie that took the pic and was highly amused for some reason…

No cars or lorries this time, but some of the impressive remains of the Roman empire…
