At Fergie’s request to post some pic’s of some of my recent travels some of you will notice a slight difference in the livery on the lorries…
The following is of a trip from last week, tipped at a Airbus depot in Immenstaad am Bodensee and had a backload in Ehingen, drove up there using the national roads and even enjoyed it, as some of you know I was never chuffed about going to Germany but as long as you’re off the main autobahn’s, it’s quite pleasant…
Great pics there Whips… nice to see the company has kept a few of it’s oldies for prosperity… especially that old british Commer…what’s with the little bug eyed thingy, is that a DKW two stroke ?
short walk:
Nice pics there Patrick, surprised to see a Volvo and Mercedes in Saan colours, though only DAF there? Where were the WW2 German photos on display?
Cheers short walk! Aye, they had a DAF policy only, but some manager found out the Volvo’s are cheaper to purchase…
Pic’s were on display at autohof Herzl on the B35 between Bruchsal and Bretten, rings a bell?
A monster indeed! One probably needed to be a “true man” to drive such a truck, which looks quite alike the Willèmes of the late 1940s. Any idea concerning the model and power unit?

Thought you would liked the Commer Aye, they’re proud of their collection and are not afraid of showing it to the public, they’ve got their own museum which opens so every often a year and they use the “classics” when they take part in rallies and such.
Aye, that Kermit the frog thingie is a DKW Tempo Matador! Douze points pour vous monsieur

Cheers Patrick
No bells ringing but very interesting nonetheless. Think they may be Luftwaffe personnel judging by the chest eagles.

Thanks! 1937 Faun L 600 powered by a 150 bhp 6-cylinder diesel; on the left side of the bonnet, that looks to me like a power steering hydraulic jack. A mighty truck!
