Most unusual axle layout for the orange DAF (bottom 2 pictures)! With its steered-only rear axles, it should be a 8x4/8. Any idea what’s its purpose? Something to do with roadworks?

It’s an 8x4 indeed although not your usual one, if you look close enough you’ll find that it’s a FWD instead of RWD, no idea what it what used for, it was however designed for a Swiss based firm, maybe our Swiss agent Davidoff knows more about it, or even better, have seen it in the flesh…?
