It’s OK johnny, his days are numbered, and he knows it…its nearly June…
However, and this is only a rumour, that the company have got so fed up with his whining about the auto box in his new lorry that they asked me to knock him one up out of old Fergie bits, which I have…they intend to give it to him next week to shut him up…just the gearbox, no wagon, he can sit behind it on a skateboard making vroom vroom noises, that’ll teach him…

Just looked at log book and it was owned by Teeuwissen at Huizen, they have some expensive looking kit, that one I fetched would be near to £275,000 to build new, ouch! Here is a pic I found off the net,

Never been near enough to discover how it all works, to much levers, switches and what have you on those things for my taste

Not my shed Pierre, but just down the road there was one like it, not sure how many tractors the old guy had, but when he died they were all sold off, about thirty I think, along with three lorries including that lovely Saviem tractor unit I posted up back last year…the old grey must be a very early one, pre war perhaps ? the white ones are David Browns, and then there’s those pink things…

You’ve a lot to learn Whippersnap, you drive a vroom vroom skateboard with a manual box, you get vroom vroom wages, plus age related pay, in your case, age related means about two years old… so pay will be,…per week, powdered baby milk, pampers, baby talc, Heinz baby food for growing healthy bones, rusks, and if you’re really good, a lollipop… followed by a bottle of gripe, don’t want you hiccuping, you might fall off the skateboard and damage the tarmac… …that or you drive an auto box…your choice…

Riggers…They’re all accounted for, except one ! there was a spate of manual gearboxes gone missing from local commercial repair garages in the last couple of weeks… I’ll look into it, and point the old gendarmes in the right direction…North East from here. …about 1000 kms
