Was quite interesting indeed Danne, you never think about it, but it’s nice to see how they build a trailer from scratch…
Used both Nooteboom and Broshuis, and although I’m more of a “fan” of Nooteboom those Broshuis trailers aren’t bad either, used a low loader of them, that steered very well, and was “simple” to work with…
Sommat different then…

Don’t know what to make of this either…sometimes it’s just for the best some things don’t end up on the production line I reckon…
Only good thing about it is that it seems to be fitted with Robert’s favourite weapon of choice…
Yes indeed, Patrick. Looks like an Eaton Twin-splitter to me. And yes, I did drive early F90 MANs with an excellent Twin-splitter installation in the late '80s. It might even have been a 13-speed Fuller as they were available (rare) for some F90 MANs and shared the same gear-knob. Certainly, they were available on the previous model with the F8 cab, because I drove them! Robert

Your right about the gearboxes Robert. I drove F8’s with 13’s and F90’s with twin splitters and they both had the black plastic Eaton gearstick, visible in the interior picture, that we knew from the TS in the ERF
That last one is something else! Can’t imagine Patrick getting far with that on a German autobahn without being pulled over!

Very true Fergie.
I remember following a lorry through Glasgow which had a wide load, at least 60℅ wider than the trailer. No boards, flashing lights or ■■■■■■. I was more than a little nervous for him, but he somehow succeeded in getting to the ship building yard without being pulled over or hitting something or someone. Lady luck was certainly shining on him that day!

One for young Patrick…why bother with all that dismantling…whack a board on the back, off you go…
Blimey mate, nice found! Bit “livin’ on the edge” that was…
Now, what you can’t see from this angle is that I was indeed the driver…I’m sure I’ve got a pic somewhere from the front with me behind the wheel…
