Who said they were pleased to hear Sarah Kennedy chuck in her early morning slot on radio 2? Yes her eccentric way could put some people off I suppose but on the whole I thought she come out with some good points and some near the mark stuff too which was good to hear. Since she left we’ve had the awful Lynn Parsons, not much better Tim Smith and this week that bloody Richard Allinson (COME ON TEXT IN!!!). And to top it all Vannessa Feltz has been given the gig from January! Why didn’t they give it to Aled Jones? He’s actually really good. I say come back Sarah!

She (Feltz) might of been the only person who wanted the Job■■? Aled Jones does loads of other things.
As long as they DON’T have that stupid Tarbuck Girl it will all be fine…
I never liked the Sarah Kennedy show, so I’m pleased she’s gone, but I agree I don’t think Vannessa Feltz will be any better, although many of us have thought that about other show changes and have been pleasently surprised.
I think Deepinvet is right about trying to find somebody to do the show it’s only 1.5 hours now and not a nice time for audience or organising the rest of you life round it.
Aled Jones is good, but has plenty of other things to do and doesn’t need to get up in the early hours of the orning to do a show, I also like Richard Allinson just seems like a really good radio DJ, I don’t know why he doesn’t have his own show after the years he’s been on Radio 2, I suppose it must be his choice.
Personally as it’s only 1.5 hours I’d move Alex Lesters show to end at 6:30. But I think Radio 2 might feel they should have a woman DJ on at least one daily radio show, and that’s the only slot they can put a woman into.
I think Alex lester should come back to that slot. Sarah kennedy did my head in at times so I started to listen to Dev on radio one, annoyed me at first but it grew on me eventually! Still though go on iTunes and get all the Ricky gervais podcasts and “a guide to” funny as! Or if your around Manchester stick on 106.1 rock radio!
Not Vannessa, her show on BBC london is awfull. Makes me glad that I don’t start work until lunchtime 
There are only so many show tunes and cat stories one can put up with.

He’s a bit too Smashy and Nicey for me! What about Johnny Walker, a class DJ and always quality music? Will wait to hear Vanessa before expressing an opinion but not hopeful!

That’s where digital radios come in handy - BBC 6Music or Radio 7 if you like a bit of comedy / drama in the morning (bloody CBeebies from 6-8am though!)
Or the World Service on Radio 4 until 5:20am 
sometimes there’s some interesting music programmes on around 2/3am, depending on the day of the week

Vanessa Is going to be doubling up at breakfast (not for the first time i bet!) as she will be presenting the BBC London show still after radio 2.

I would go back to starting Alex Lester from 3 through till 6.30 then go straight to Evans ,Allinsons ok but I can’t stand when he does the weather, " take a line from Bridlington…" Aled bores the crap out of me , Johnny Walker would be great but he wouldn’t do it, Tim Smith , how that bloke gets on the radio I don’t know, How bout Bruno Brookes? or Steve Harley, infact, I could do it, then I could play lorry lingo and the dipsticks…10-4

richard allinson does alot for other bbc stations as well like bbc york ect…
