He is 65 so I suppose an early morning slot isn’t that appealing
give evans an extra half hour again and get him starting at 6, never heard vannesa feltz before so will hold out judgement until i hear her. Like someone else said given a choice id rather have 106.1 rock radio on around manchester steve berrys breakfast show is the bollox

Id like to see Zoe ball get a regular week day show, and after hearing of Sarahs tales of various hospital visits over the past year or so. Add in the odd days/weeks she was suddenly off with minor ailments. It was only a matter of time before her imminent departure.
I listen to Zoe Ball on Saturday mornings, and Im warming to her style, and though of Zoe as Sarahs natural successor. Wether she would be ideal for the job is doubtful due to her young, and recently added to family

Sarah Kennedy represents a generation of highly intelligent charismatic broadcaster that now are seemingly bowing out to accommadate the new wave of egotistical,irritating cretins who think they have a natural right to pontificate their nauseating guff on the nations premier network.I utterly loathe the likes of Evans,Ball,Mayo etc but my biggest hatred has to be that odious ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Oleery Christ what a boring ■■■■■■ is he?another product of the cowell conveyer belt that is eating into our culture like a malignant tumour.I have enjoyed the company of the delightful Sarah Kennedy for many a long year and judging by the failing attempts to find a replacement who come anywhere close to equaling that fine woman,I think theres gong to be one hell of a wait.

Spare a thought for those in Oxfordshire; None as bad as the crap that is the Malcolm Boyden Breakfast Show on BBC Oxford, try listening to a bit of him on I-Player; Irritating voice and seems to revel in talking to senile listeners, whilst bigging up the bunch of amateurs that are Oxford United (and making excuses for them when they lose,quite a lot) Then there’s Heart FM where they’re kind enough to tell me what’s happening in Surrey, like I care, and the constant Take That, JLS, and Michael Buble songs played over and over.
Either I’m a fussy grumpy bugger (tipper drivers are) or I’m in the wrong age group-at 31 I’m too old for Radio 1, not really old enough for Radio 2…

Apologies for dragging up an old thread but seeing as Vanessa Feelz (sorry Feltz) has just started on Radio2 it seems relevant.
FWIW. I listened to about 10 minutes on day 1 and prompty stuck a CD in…havent listened to her since.
In my opinion they should have left Lynn Parsnips on at least she played some music that kept you awake not some dreary sleep inducing middle of the road crap.
Parsons has been R2’s stooge for years.
I personally think she should have got the gig as she’s actually quite good, and I can’t see VF lasting long. (Hopefully.) I haven’t had the chance to listen to her yet, but may tomorrow on my way into the yard, but if she’s as crap as the trailers I’ve heard so far, I’ll be tuning the dial to Real Radio.
