Santa pod

Just a few photos of what the judges saw at santa pod, some said it was the best it had looked, either way i was proud to have a podium position and raise the 2nd place trophy in the best kept working truck.

Very smart mate. I noticed you are saving yourself a lot of hard work by having your chequer plate painted, well done on that!! I would dearly love to have your cab cooler that youve got on your roof, im in Athens, its 11.30pm and its still 33 degrees, i dont think im going to get a comfortable nights sleep. i hope the cooler box on roof is going to be painted though!
Again, an immaculately turned out truck, well done mate.

Thanks Carl. Sorry yr suffering in the heat. My air con packed in a couple of months ago and i considered it better money spent on the roof cooler rather than new air con pump. At least i can run it whilst tipping or sleeping and of course theres no chance of reduced mpg from air con pump although of course there’s still wind drag. £900 well spent. I will have it sprayed, and i have considered painting my tyres, but i’ve just read from another post of yours that yr not so keen?

think you let yourself down mr vain, might have cost you 1st place, that brush has some bristles out of shape.

Where did you buy your fifth wheel cover from?

5th wheel cover came direct from jost at last years pod show. £25 which i thought was a fair price. They were selling them again this year. Just look out for their trade stand and ask. Helpful people.

   Typical! Hours of cleaning and polishing on a truck thats almost 7 years old and done 950,000 km’s and its let down by a £10 brush! MUST TRY HARDER!

hey vain its starting to look tacky now, and its got 2 pots missing lol

only messing vain she looks well, that 620 man must have mega work or he is strapped rite up if i got it rite he only does general work so ■■ knows how he does it, i bet there wasnt much change outta 100k am i rite,

Tacky? It’s that bloody brush again!  The 2 pots missing was a deliberate choice. I could of had a V8 but couldn’t (still can’t) understand the logic of 2 pots/ 4 litres being more economical.

Won’t be long now til the repo man comes a -knocking.

Not at my house he won’t. I haven’t just taken delivery of a 100k + tractor unit.

Well done Rob for getting 2nd but i do think it was that brush that let you down for 1st

Well done for second place. They obviously don’t know you very well.

takes me all me time to put me car through the carwash let alone polish it.well done it must take an almighty effort to keep it up.and i mean the cleanliness
of the wagon

Thanks all :sunglasses:

I was told hard work never killed anyone, i’ll let you know!

Very good looking truck that

Well done MR.VAIN  A nice reward for your hard work!!!

Who took 1st place from you■■?

coles took 1 st place i beleive overall a good turn out by all that entered

A well deserved first place went to David Gill with his XF. It would appear that sometimes the best in show trophy will go to a truck thats had thousands spent on it, although in saying that, Gary Coles T cab is a beautiful truck. David Gills XF is a stunning example of how good a truck can look with well kept paintwork and attention to detail, Davids truck won best in show last year so for me to come 2nd was a quite an achievement in my opinion  .
