Can anyone recommend good safety trainers, preferably hi-top (boots)?
I had these Lee Coopers but the soles got perished quickly through ADR work.
“scruffs do a lot of safety trainers” find a catalogue at your local building suppliers , or Gumtree , I think people get them through there work and sell them on .
By looks of your other ones I can see why they perished so quickly lol , but each to there own .

I always wear Scruffs and get them from Wickes. Always had a problem with steel toe-caps in boots and trainers but Scruffs are so comfy, they’re like wearing slippers.
Depends on what you’re prepared to pay.
I’ve used Cat boots for the past 15 years and I’ve only needed 2 pairs In that time.
When I worked for a company that provided their own boots (cheapest they could find) they would last a max of 6 months. If you can afford the initial cost, go for the quality as they’ve worked out cheaper for me in the long run.

Got these me self, 12 months and still going strong, laces are a bit of a pain but holds me right foot well which has dodgy tracking and ruins riggers in a week by going over on em.

dickies safety shoes are pretty cheap on fleabay, prob new old stock as they are half the price of most retailers.
I learnt a valuable lesson regarding steel toe trainers, they have no ankle support! Got out off wagon one day and went over on my ankle, 3 weeks of work

Thanks for the Scruffs recommendation, I got some hi tops for about £20 on ebay, if they last well carrying the dodgy ADR chemicals I’m doing I’ll recommend them.
Their boots look very nice but I hate driving in boots, feels like you’re operating the pedals with 2x4 strapped to your feet.

You can design your own trainers on the nike website,i wonder if they would bang some metal bits on the toe ends 
Not sure it’s worth a try or like I said this is where I become a millionaire lol!! I wish
