Many drivers been there for quite a few years with no problems, they’re not perfect, who the hell is■■?
But of course some of you work for perfect employers who do everything exactly right (to your requirements HA pigging HA)
Having worked for them for some time now (quite a few years actually) I don’t have any problems, having spoken to many drivers {drivers who give “honest” take home figures} in truckstops about the job and wages then I personally prefer what I take home weekly to what many of them do (with some big companies involved)
Give it a try and see what you find, hearsay and mmtm are not worth the internet time, but if you do so, give it an honest chance, NOT 1 day
And at least I can read English, read my posts again and tell me where I slagged off S&K, also tell me where I advised against anyone trying them out for themselves.
I’m beginning to think you’re related (or are) the miserable old git I spoke of, very defensive of him you are, as that’s the only thing i took issue with there (and rightly so)
Like I said if that guy went completely off the rails like that for something that wasn’t my fault and completely beyond my control then how would he react when I did drop a dangly one? (we all do from time to time its inevitable)

A) I read (and speak) the english language extremely well, your initial post on this subject came across as a compete diatribe against both the company and the owner (the “old git” as you phrased it)
B) I am merely a driver for the company, in no way related to or in fact the owner.
C) Do both sides of the incident in question tally?
D)I do not have a problem with my job or the company I work for ( I gave the job/company a chance in the beginning) only with people who give overly biased opinions based on 1 days experience.

Probably best fella, and next time don’t make assumptions about another persons ability, especially when you have never even met the person.
OK, change of mind, I will comment once more because, again, of your attitude. You questioned my ability to read english and yet you make a response to my post stating that I question your abilities, pray tell me where? Attitude and ability are two totally differant things.
Over the years I have met many drivers, do I know wether they are posters on this forum? No! Can you say with any certainty that you and I have never met? Did you speak to any other drivers at S&K? I admit I have not “knowingly” met you, but that is not to say we have not met somewhere on our travels.
One should never “make assumptions” after all.

By its mere interpretation you are suggesting I am not a decent driver, therefore questioning my abilities as one.
I “Lasted” one day because I chose to leave, NOT because my abilities were brought into question or because I was asked to leave (like I said I was asked to reconsider leaving) but because I didn’t wish to put up with that sort of bull[zb] from the guy in the office, it doesn’t make me weak, insecure or inadequate, it was merely a case of “ok, this ain’t for me, move on and move up”
I will state it again I advised the OP to “find out for himself” that is not in any way an attack on S&K or its drivers or office staff, a member asked for opinions, I gave mine, at least it wasn’t a “mmtm that they are a shower of [zb]” reply, I just relayed my own albeit short experience with said company, so pray tell how does that exclude me from “decent” driver status?
I have no beef with S&K or you so if you agree with this post then its done, enough said, move on, if however you still feel you have some further point to prove then that too is your prerogative.
Credit to the company who are still trading and expanding .
They have been doing European work for a very long time so must be doing something right .

You shouldn’t have to, transit damage to a load isn’t a driver’s financial responsibility.
Still, some drivers are willing to put up with ■■■■ like that. And tell everybody that it is a great company.
