Like there’s not enough brits out of work and not enough immigrants in the UK.

Why are they being paid better than us too, and with accomodation??

Requirements, basic English… I got that, give me a job

3to делает меня безумным! :imp: :imp: :imp:

Я только добрался £8.00 в час в DHL. :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

i’m forwarding this to my MP.
[zb] all will be done, but i’m forwarding it anyway.

WTF…

can’t be right. Russia not in EU?

just about takes the biscuit.
5-800quid a week, pffff, yeah right.

It will be through an agency, we had a load of Polish guys on one job a couple of years back and the agency provided them with cheap accomodation and moutain bikes to go from the digs to work :open_mouth: The bikes were of course double shifted ! and went missing at the end of the contract

What a complete an utter ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ take.
No wonder this country is on ■■■■■■■ arse.

Simon.

I would not worry about hoardes of Russian cossacks riding over the horizon and taking your jobs. It would be almost impossible for any russian to get a visa to work in the UK, unless they were highly qualifed, which, although we are supposed to be “professional” we are not by any means highly qualified.
This will be in a russian language paper for Latvians, estonians and Lithuanians who are already here, or who wish to come here. As for £9 per hour, i believe that is about the rate for a class 1 driver in some areas of the UK>
I do agree about that it is incredible that DHL can get away with advertising abroad when there is a surplus of workers in this country, however, contray to popular belief, in some areas there is a shortage of drivers, and how long would it take to train the dole queue regulars to drive a class 1?

As they say in the russian Navy Жизнь - дерьмо!

What really gets my goat isn’t the £8ph I find myself getting for DHL around here, but
the fact that they apparently lay on accommodation for the “guest worker” - which I don’t believe for a minute.
What they probably do is have some “counsellor” type character who’ll show the guys how to apply for housing benefit at the local offices, and then set them up with some landlord affiliated with the company who’ll charge the DSS (or whoever it is that pays) a fortune to give the “guest worker” a hut something like our heroes got “in Auf Wiedersehen Pet”.

…тогда Ð’Ñ‹ умираете. :frowning:
or as we say in Kent (and just about anywhere else with working guys!), “Life is ■■■■, and then you die”.

A Russian would have to speak and READ pretty good English to not get fouled up on deliveries because you can’t read our “English Only” roadsigns & place names! Imagine going on a trip to Russia, and not being able to read Cyrillic, with miles and miles between each run-down town?
You get lost out there, and you’ll never be found! :open_mouth:

There is no such saying in Russian.

the thing that gets me is,that nobody seems to be doing anything about it.ive just read the nolans thread, and i dont see how the same wont happen here,in fact i believe it already has in some parts(east anglia among others). even if we wanted, theres nothing we can do,coz we aint calling the shots when it comes to these matters.eventually well all be earning eastern european wages just to stay competetive and the country will continue to decline coz nobody has got any cash to spend

I’m paraphrasing TruckerJons “Life’s ■■■■” remark.
I would imagine there’s no such thing as my “£8.00 в час” in russia either come to that. :unamused:

“Man who goto bed with itchy bum wake up with smelly finger” is also NOT in the book of confucius, and there is no Arab curse that goes “May the fleas of a thousand camels infest their ar$eholes” either. :astonished:
