That’s just it chevmac, he’s defending the Royal Mail, but how can you defend against the behaviour on that video? It’s not the first video like that I’ve seen on here either
No need for a video of your shift chappy, we believe you, not ALL RM drivers are like that, but some obviously are
the majority of the Rm drivers are like this, always in a rush to get anywhere even though they have all the time in the world.
i used to run from perth to penrith,
left at the back of 2200, for a 3am trailer change. would normally have the guy from glasgow who had a change at the same time as me flying by me like he was in some made hurry,
i normally arrived in penrith the back 0100, then sleep till 3am, then had to have the trailer back on the bay in perth for 0630,
there is no need to rush with royal mail, its just like tesco plenty of time to do the run so why rush or drive like an idiot, mind you i was agency and not on salary so i guess i wanted to run it out lol.

I don’t normally join in threads like this, even though some say I am a prolific poster
But if a random bloke in a pub asked me to name the worst three incidents of crap lorry driving I had seen, I am sorry to say it would be:
B&Q
Royal Mail / Parcelforce
and any fuel tanker driver within 30 miles of the Dartford Tunnel.
I have to agree with the fuel tanker statement, the way these idiots drive is beyond belief, they make the local 8 wheeler nutters seem like little old ladies in Micras, the very worst part of their behaviour is they way they drive around the A13/M25 roundabout, animals

Add to that the tippers that merrily bat on oblivious, the Irish who speed, trolley drivers who hold us all up, most 7.5 tonners, fridge drivers who are always in a rush, anything with ‘International’ written on the livery and lets not forget all the nasty foreigners who are all over hours and in dangerous vehicles. I wanna know who the good guys are?
Well I’m just waiting for my security clearance and hopefully I will be driving for RM Chelmsford in the very near future through an agency. I can promise you all that you will never see the sort of driving in those videos from myself.

Safe trucking to all.
Same here mate but out of Langley.
Can you really tar everyone with the same brush?? If you are a ■■■■■■ driver then you are a ■■■■■■ driver no matter who your working for surley.

You’re right you can’t, but if you look at the title of the thread you’ll see it says Royal Mail drivers, if you want to slag off anyone else start a new thread, see who gets the most slagging off, it’s a democracy after all

oh thats easy, the overnight pallet companies - knights of the road they are
had one pass me on the m11 this morning at about 4am, me limited to 52mph and them limited to warp 9 it seemed. but the rear of his trailer had not even passed my mirrors before he started indicating to pull in i was lke WTF
I was speaking to RM driver this morning who is trunking between sorting hubs.
He might be winding me up after mention of driving standards… but says:
He is subject to up to 6 times the sp fine from RM itself as well as the points and fine if caught speeding.
has digicard with sat nav route pre loaded for the loaded vehicle that he is assigned, what about POA button etc? no it is all automatic, it’s a card exclusive to RM.
As I type this I realise it all sounds a bit ‘weird’…

only thing i will say is they probably will wanna speak to you about it, they just tried to do it at the wrong time with me (the day after my grandad had died) and they kept telling me how its important and that they need to do some sort of paperwork or some crap even though i just told them what had happened, needless to say i havnt been back and wont ever go back there.
