roping and sheeting

Bewick:
apparently ropes are banned now by those useless [zb] at Vosa but then again most of to-days drivers wouldn’t no what a rope was for never mind a 30 x 24 sheet !! Cheers Dennis.

You might get away with using ropes but you’ll have nothing to tie them to because rope hooks are now only supposed to be used for tying sheets. :smiling_imp: :open_mouth:

tha wants to be very careful dan , the ■■■■■■■■ mafia have long arms .

As I haven’t wasted me money on buying truck comics for about 20 years Dave I wonder what passes for sheeting and roping in to-days Hi Tech Truck world, now let me guess,1) Bungees,2) a big roll of shrink wrap 3) probably some Span set straps ! apparently ropes are banned now by those useless [zb] at Vosa but then again most of to-days drivers wouldn’t no what a rope was for never mind a 30 x 24 sheet !! Most of the pics are from years ago Dennis, 1996 is the newest one, but I doubt that you would learn anything new as they are not images of dead square loads like your squadron carried.

Pete.

You’ve just spoiled my Christmas Pete, oh! ■■■■ it !!Not much gets past some of you Lads, you must have eyes like ■■■■■■■■■ rats!! You’ve sussed us out at Bewick Transport alright regarding our sheeting and roping expertise (or lack of it). For nearly 30 years we never accepted any loads that weren’t exactly, perfectly, square and there were no exceptions to this rule as our shunters and drivers were quite incapable of sheeting and roping any other shape of load. Those shots of the many Bewick loads on this site, other than the square ones, were all photo shopped from many other operators who could sheet and rope properly. What a ■■■■■■ to have to own up after all these years !  Cheers Dennis.

At least you have finally cleared your concience for the New Year Dennis, you will feel better for it lad! Good photoshopping though, better than my efforts, you almost had us convinced. Merry Christmas!..

Pete.

Here’s a recent one.

From a few years ago, medical equipment on the front, magazines on the back.

Don’t think these are already on here.
Ply out of Middlesbrough, timber out of Liverpool.

Werrell’s were big Foden users when I lived down south, good to know that they are still in business.

When 2016 gets here, that’ll be the 90th year.

Some nice Examples there no rush

I thank you for that Sir.

Apart from the crane trailers, John’s lot do very little flat work now, so not much chance of seeing one using ropes and sheets anymore.

These are no trouble to sheet up, my customer does it before it goes on my lorry.

One part of an aero engine then goes in the stillage and gets transported to Italy from Rolls Royce, Ansty.

Still picking the easy jobs then Robert and leaving poor old Dan all those odd shaped loads to contend with! Happy New Year, catch you somewhere.

Pete.
