Is it just me, or is everyone else experiencing impossible time-lags when switching pages or threads. It’s as if the ad-server has taken over and forgotten to move us on. I’m finding it very frustrating indeed! Robert
it is a common hing i think robert , i’ve just had an iPad air 2 , very quick system and it does it on that as well . i find that you have to wait for the adverts to load especially the ones that scroll . gets me going , there are times when i could crush a grape . dave
Hiya,
Ah’ but “Riggers” it doesn’t matter when your retired you’ve got nowt to do
and you’ve got all day to do it in, relax good buddy.
thanks harry, long retired.
it’s very frustrating when i’m due my 40winks or i don’t want to spill tea on the laptop harry . we older people need to divide our relaxation into manageable chunks so that we don’t get too fatigued walking out to the car .never do today what can be put off until tomorrow . dave
I’ve got the same problem but it’s compounded by my gas-powered PC (cheapo, Curry’s sh*t!) which does the same thing on all sites, but WORSE.
I do have a better machine waiting in the wings but I just know it’s going to take at least a weekend to transfer everything and get it working properly. After Christmas, as soon as I feel sober enough I’ll get down to it.
Hiya,
I know we’re getting away from the R&S thingy but you chaps could always try
my cure-all “the little tap with the big hammer” I have about four dead puters
using this method maybe raising the tool above my head is not the way to go
but I am running out of money buying laptops to practice repair skills on, I do
hasten to add my puter repair manual is available free on receipt of a tenner
note enclosed in your stamped addressed envelope to cover a taxi ride to the
post office, Oh’ you can save money be enclosing a Christmas card at the same
time saving 50p on an extra second class stamp, can’t stand highway robbery.
thanks harry, long retired.
Sorry, H, but that blatant advert won’t work- I’ve got the monopoly on dodgy ads and overpriced courses on TN(UK). And yes, rigsby, I shall be attempting the unauthorised border crossing again this year. And yet again I shall try to keep myself sober enough to pay a social visit to Ade (lurpak) and some of my old muckers in God’s own county. There may also be the opportunity to have a look around one or two restored commercials, just to remind myself what kind of sh*t we were expected to live in for six days a week!
Beware, Gloucestershire, the idiot’s coming again!
enjoy casey , have a good xmas ( and a cheap one ) all the best , dave ps , if you let me know when you are returning i’ll distract the border guards at this end .
A piece on sheeting/roping in this months Heritage Commercial comic with some decent pics, none of the efforts by the famed ■■■■■■■■ haulier who frequents this forum with his expertise though…

It looked like they focused on long time operators rather the fast Bewicks .

tha wants to be very careful dan , the ■■■■■■■■ mafia have long arms .
As I haven’t wasted me money on buying truck comics for about 20 years Dave I wonder what passes for sheeting and roping in to-days Hi Tech Truck world, now let me guess,1) Bungees,2) a big roll of shrink wrap 3) probably some Span set straps ! apparently ropes are banned now by those useless ■■■■■ at Vosa but then again most of to-days drivers wouldn’t no what a rope was for never mind a 30 x 24 sheet !! Cheers Dennis.
Now that’s what I call a nice tidy load of “glider engines”, well I can see them ! Otherwise Dan wouldn’t have put the shot on, would he ? Cheers Dennis.
