Singo55:
We used to load 40 foot flats with groupage for freight forwarders before curtains ■■■■ site harder than a square load !!
No photos but whilst driving for Humber McVeighs Salford,a regular collection was from Massey Ferguson Trafford Park,33ft triaxle 5 or 6 drops all around London docks, spare parts for world wide destinations, the load was ply boxes of the parts, all on multiple levels, dangerous to walk on when sheeting, nothing square or regular there, and due to the multi boxes,2 or 3 times I had to pull up and check the rope tensions,as the boxes tended to bunch up together slackening the ropes.
Oh dear I I seem to have upset the Proles ! so mustn’t grumble must we !! Well Lads do carry on as I will be happy to continue to watch all the S & R bollox as a guest viewing what will continue to be posted ! But hey ! Hoppalong Cassidy did OK with his lasoo so don’t despair Lads you will get there eventually well OK not all of you !

I don’t rate the Russians attempt at R & S,the flipping thing is only secured by a single rope!
Ah but you’re fogetting the triple dolly by the female yard shunter on the nearside.
Saw this the afternoon on the way back from delivering the son to the airport and thought, bet that’s not one of Bewick’s.
Looks even worse with a double click.

Wrong thread David, it should be on the ropey sheeting thread.
Doh, where am I, that’s where I thought I was, just a minute that is where we are.
Oh, I see you were joking, don’t you know that is not permitted here? You’ll find yourself reported to the Ropemaster in Chief

Hardly a challenging load to r and s is it Buzzer.
David
Yes, the sort of loads we all dreamed about I reckon. The dreaded ones, and those that tested skill, were the caterpillars (long and lumpy) and the ultra high and wide.
Sheeted and roped by a Scotsman who took a pride in the job and there are many other Drivers who were f---- useless and they would have made a right balls up of S & R that same load ------ " baggy, flapping about, patted down , lassoo’d you name it and I’ve seen it ! Cheers Dennis.
