ROG, do fitters need driver CPC?

no driver cpc company has been able to give me an answer, my mate is a fitter at a company that rhymes with anya and he was told by his manager they wont be paying for DCPC as they dont need it for collection delivery or attending MOT.

ROG is supposed to be the don for this round here

Looking at the exemptions as long as they are only road testing the vehicles or taking them for test then they would be exempt. Once the vehicle is being used for commercial use then the driver will need a DCPC.

I think they’ll be a few court cases when this comes in to clarify the situation.

so “F” excludes them? does F exclude empty running ?

fitters dont use tachos either

I think C excludes them but I’m sure if you want to run empty all the time, then you’ll not need a DCPC.

so if an anya fitter was to go to another branch to pick up a gantry in a anya vehicle he would need driver cpc coz hes a fitter?

Don’t really get the bit about anya and why he’s picking up gantrys? but if he’s doing a driving job to pick up a load then he’ll need a DCPC,

volvobloke:

But they are being tested, not on a transportation job.

I think “G”, would cover a fitter for that, it isn’t hire or reward, it is a piece of equipment to do his job with, and driving is not his main job.

However I think if the fitter was caught with 18 pallets of Pringles and a Black and Decker workmate, Mr VOSA may have reason to be suspicious :stuck_out_tongue:

people on here are trying to help you, and you are getting abusive :unamused:

you, yes, YOU, did not explain yourself fully regarding the gantry, so, if anyone is the thick idiot, then that would again be YOU and YOU alone

oh dear fanny scanny, you arnt really up to this, it is an adult convo, driver cpc isnt the same as management, you are a thick driver, carry on with the ham egg and chips you

If someone asked me to go pick up a Test Trailer. I would expect it to be loaded with concrete blocks or sandbags. If they asked me to pick up a trailer for test I would imagine it needed some work doing on it.

It can’t be an adult conversation - especially if you’re involved!

Go away, Troll. You’re just being a pest :unamused:

i agree, but a lot of cpc teachers say its a grey area when it comes to fitting, ignore ham egg and chips boy this was a serious thread

now then, can you please enlighten the rest of us mere mortals who are not psychic, where in the following quote it says that you are moving the gantry to another depot that is not your regular pit of pestilence?
