Robson road haulage scania centurion early nintey's

My mate bought an ex Mortimer 143 off an irishman, he always said he wished he,d bought it direct from Mortimers because the irishman had pretty much killed it!! It was painted black ( with a broom i think ) and he didnt keep it long, i,ll ask him what the reg number was when i see him tomorrow.

i reckon that must be the one mate, it was a 4x2 one of the only ones we had, would be really good to know where it is now. wish we had never got rid of it. cheers.

Sorry mate. The motor my mate had was N961 OAE■■?. Was that one of yours. The bloke he bought it off had,nt even rubbed it down!! just masked up the glass & lights and painted right over the top of Mortimers livery!! It looked like something from a Mad Max movie, it used to go like stink though, he sold it for export last year and we think it went to the Middle East somewhere. We called it the black bomber!!

did he by any chance subby for coolchain out of teynham?? i think i saw it parked there and it was painted black, i remember walking round it and the paint on the chassis was just peeling off, didnt do a very good job of painting it.

Yes,thats right, he,s just bought a brand new Scania R620, Coolchain must pay well!!

‘The Irishman’ as you refer to him and the so called mystery owner of the Master Centurion, Number 100 is infact Tom Scott of whom trades as Truck Align, Crumlin County Antrim (Northern Ireland)

A real gentleman indeed, and one that has a fine business - and would you believe also has a very fine Centurion on his hands.

No better man could the truck ever wish to have arrived with.
