Robinsons of Worcester

Morning folks,

Just seen above company are looking for Class 2 trampers looking to start in August. And am thinking of applying pending my result on Monday. Just wondered if folk know what they pay on Class 2? Thanks

Cheers

No idea, never had class 2 when I worked there only artics.

I’m sure someone will be along to tell you how fantastic they are…

The curious thing is that the trucks look to be based at Southam, and appear to be set up for the clay work into Cemex at Rugby…not sure why you would need trampers for that?

Here you go this may help.Cant see any class 2.

There are a whole collection of 8 wheelers due… for different contracts. Not sure what the pay scale is like, but it may vary as to the work, to which I have no knowledge.

All I do know is that they are NOT for the clay…

You can do a lot worse than Robinsons. I’ve encountered them on quarry work and at the mill and they’ve always been sound. Tramping’s not for me but if it was odd nights out I’d be interested.

Cheers for that folks and I know its a long drive from.yorkshire Seth, but the position offered was tramping out all week. Plus i have friends down that way so no bother whatsoever.

Cheers

Do you fancy driving a “Little Pink Truck”?
We have four class 2 positions starting at the beginning of August . You will be driving one of our new Scania eight wheeler tippers, nights out essential.

All the vacancies say class 1, unless they want class 1 drivers on class 2 for flexibility? I think if you can get on there you’re onto a good thing.

The positions on offer are for tramping, but that is not solely what may be on offer. The chief is ambitous, so what may not suit now may be around the corner.

You get a nice pink polo shirt with the job

Do they take on newly qualified Class 1s? One of our warehouse/shunt drivers has recently got his and says how he wants another job-I’ve suggested he ask the bulk tipper guys when they come to the mill but I doubt he has…

If that’s Facebook Denis I can’t as I’m not on it. Really not interested in what my mates’ sister in law’s had for breakfast or how she’s feeling today.

Cheers for the replies folks, depending on tomorrows result will depend if they get a ring from me or not  So fingers crossed.

Cheers

Judging from the tipper bodies, it looks like they’ll be aggregate carrying more than grain etc. Looks quite a nice job.

they got a contract at cemex rugby running clay in there and at rugby you will have the pleasure of meeting the very nice and polite security gate staff especially the lady

I think Lightening sad earlier in the thread that these trucks weren’t for the clay job. Best take your safety glasses and hi viz y fronts just in case though.
