You can do a lot worse than Robinsons. I’ve encountered them on quarry work and at the mill and they’ve always been sound. Tramping’s not for me but if it was odd nights out I’d be interested.Sorry about that, all I did was google Robinsons of Worcester and it came up with pics and some info+the web addy.
regards dave.That’s an email address

Do you fancy driving a “Little Pink Truck”?
We have four class 2 positions starting at the beginning of August . You will be driving one of our new Scania eight wheeler tippers, nights out essential.
I wonder why they night out on those eight leggers, must be some specialised stuff they carry and not just a load of Chatter to a driveway in the next village. Maybe they back load stuff?
Pete.

R.Adams have 8w trampers, Pete. They carry/backload anything, they used to bring type 1 into Smiths and then do a load for them.
In answer to the questions as to what they are going to be carrying. There are a couple of lines for the work to be carried. Im not sure which these four are going on, so it would not only be daft of me to make a comment, but also unwise as to give a false impression.
The comment about getting A PINK POLO SHIRT IS CORRECT!!!
The comment about the weighbridge is not wholly accurate. Yes the lady on the bridge is a bit of a stickler, but since we go in there with the Cemex contract, we are pretty well known to the w/b staff, so once in we get a fairly easy ride. IIRC I have only been scrutinised the once for PPE - you just have to be seen to be complying whilst on site.
Well they will have an email from me about the position today as yesterdays news was obviously good news. won’t know until i find out
Cheers
Jonny

they got a contract at cemex rugby running clay in there and at rugby you will have the pleasure of meeting the very nice and polite security gate staff especially the lady
LOL
I’d worry more about the numpties in the ROW traffic office than the woman in the weighbridge!
They will make your life far more stressful than she ever could.
No worse than the numpties in the traffic office i work at
Passed your test shag, well done you!

Don’t be too sure of that!
The most deceitful, lying and conniving traffic office I have ever worked for!

Yes mate - I concur on your thoughts about the weighbridge.
I know that ultimately they have to ensure that they only let qualified, suitably dressed persons in to the plant, given that it is a volatile plant - in terms of a, its death and serious injury record, and b, that its a very hazardous product to be around.
I didnt think for one minute that it was a dig at me, it was just a comment I made based on countless trips in to the plant on the clay trucks.
