Mick, you’re not playing by usual trucknet ways. You’re being reasonable and open to opinion. Normal practice on here is for everyone to argue black is white with fingers in their ears, then the argument gets all shirts off outside over the keyboards, then a few meek apologies.
Mick81 gets my vote in this year’s " who is the most reasonable and objective poster " category.
When approaching a motorway closure, say at the 800 marker, trucks are in lanes 1 and 2 but the smart arsed in a rush car drivers are steaming down the fast lane, am I the only one who gets ■■■■■■ off with this?? Last night in this situation on the m6 south I thought [zb] it and straddled lanes 2 and 3 so no traffic could pass, kept pace with truck in lane 1 who duly let me in at the last minute, question is am I braking the law doing this? And does anyone else do the same??
Cheers all
nothing wrong with this at all! But once the element of surprise has gone, all the keyboard warriors ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ except juddians ( old knight of the road ) is pertinent. Just because we don’t do it anymore, IT IS NOT ALIEN

You’re either an idiot, a troll or Mr Bull ■■■■ To Impress Nobody.

Ok gents, I was only trying to comment on the post, oh and if you get a wagon behind you in the roadworks with every light turned on - then get out the way

I’ve seen truck drivers do this, I deliberately set my cruise-control to 49 (which is actually nearer 47!)

Getting really annoyed at those 2 sections of roadworks between Gloucester and Bristol, lorries limited to lane 1 and always get stuck behind a queue of vehicles doing 30mph, vehicle leading the queue is always a lorry. Obviously the ■■■■ that do 56mph on a DC but 35 on a SC. Cheap frills by controlling people’s speed
Off topic previously but in what world will you lose anything by doing a bit more than 46 or 47 other than costing drivers who are not on hourly pay a rubbish night

That made me laugh - Good one!!!
Oh crap I’m not playing right now, Err I mean, what a load of ■■■■■■■ ■■■■, don’t listen to this posted he’s a ■■■■■ he only drives vans and is probably working via agencies.
Juddian:
the days of the knight of the road lorry driver and the courteous car driver are history, dear sweet good manners will never return its a free for all now, you’ll find many lorries queue jumping and forcing in at the last moment just the same, and blocking live lanes one or two as they force in just before a busy exit.
They call this bullying routine zip merging, i call them something else.
so do whatever you want on the road because no one gives a toss any more
I disagree, for every rude ■■■■■ that jumps a queue there’s 10, 20, 30 etc who are sat in the queue. I always use my size to enforce some manners upon the ■■■■■■ if possible and I think the vast majority of car drivers appreciate it.

Thats the whole point.
Ill slow down to about 38mph if I think someones in a hurry.
Its as routine as brushing my teeth now 50 signs pop up que a big magnet drawing every object to the middle lane 47mph and not budging. Every light possible on still no move. See you later im up the inside
