Roads on a Friday

Why can’t people drive on a Friday m25 car and wagon anti clockwise so clockwise standstill to watch m1 everyone slows to 40 or slower I have had to park up at donnington in stead of wetherby as it just ate into my hours today. Sick isn’t the word

A1(M) just as ■■■■■■ up today due to overturned lorry - shedload of 200,000 metal clips and oil spillage! Don’t know if northbound has opened yet.

Honestly added 2 hours on my run home gutted

Any chance of some more punctuation in there?

I do agree though.

Sorry angry . And doing it on my phone, be happy it is spelt correctly.

I detest being on the road Fri PM…Lemming time, Bedlam doesn’t cover it.

Thing is that as the population continually increases (no let up despite politicians lies) this is only going to get rapidly worse, glad i’ve only got another 7 years to go…well until they shift the goal posts again.

Friday it’s gotta be a POETS day (**** off early tomorrow’s Saturday)

Glad I’ve only got another 7 months to go! in this SE corner of England traffic is the pits most days never mind Friday

Park up for a few hours, you’ll probably get a telling off from the office but it’s less stressful than being stuck in traffic…

If I’m unfortunate enough to be in days on a Friday this is exactly what I do.

Caught up in all the m25 traffic from j10 to the m4 junction, now parked up for the night rather than back at base and then home. Oh well at least I have a 9hr off kept back.

Makes sense to me but office clowns don’t get it, they think you’re tossing it off…

Out boss ain’t too bad. He pays for breaks and as long as you don’t take the ■■■■ he’s alright.

I cannot understand sitting in gridlock and then not getting home when you can throw it in an MSA or layby. Go sleep for a few hours and then be home in your bed.

Everything else is madness

Tipper Tom:
Our boss ain’t too bad.

Lucky you, our lot are complete pricks, will write you up for any little thing…:imp:

Trouble is it’s all going that way

It’s all down to the rush rush rush attitude of today’s drivers.

If everyone slowed down just a touch we’d all get where we gotta be quicker

Lost nearly half an hour at Swineshead today, and then later on the M62 spent an hour waiting for the boys in blue to turn up at the scene of an accident. “I saw the whole thing, governor.”

As it was, they didn’t need a statement, but I was due a break anyway.

Friday M25 is a nightmare especially off peak. 10am you always get the old fogey brigade sat in lane two about to pass you then they see the overhead cameras and slow down. So eventually you ease off, pull out behind them then pull out again to overtake them and guess what? They aint havin it so they speed up, knuckles white on the steering wheel cos they are terrified of getting “caught” doing 60mph in a 70mph zone, but simply CAN NOT let the hgv pass them.

So most fridays between the M3 and M23 junctions I just sit in lane two (I have an very fast lorry) unless I see a coach in my mirrors in which case I move over if they can’t move out to lane 3 (of 4) cos there is a line of cars too scared to go over 60mph

Honestly these managed motorways cause congestion more than they relieve it.

I went clockwise between 10 and 15 today at 13:00 and it was clear but building between 15 & 16. Came back at 14:00 and the queue was from 16 to 10. Amazing how quickly it builds up there.

Everyone does slow down & that’s what causes the congestion in the 1st place…:exclamation::!:

+1…
