Dig up the length of the A17 and start again!
Failing that some more sections of DC to allow the cars to overtake slow vehicles without putting lives at risk.
Failing that a set of traffic lights at the A151 t-junction and a set of lights on the A17/A46/A1 roundabout, can sit there 10-15 mins at busy parts of the day!

There was a time when rail was vastly superior to road. That’s no longer the case. The infrastructure needed for rail is expensive, inflexible and by comparison vastly underused. £33billion spent on the road network and other projects would probably be money better spent. East London crossing anyone?

Thing is, as lovely as that upgrade would be once its finished, is it worth the 2 years of 50mph average speed check hell that would go with it. Must admit i am torn.

It will probably be done much as the rest of the A1M in N. Yorkshire, with a new road built along-side the old road.
In Belgium I’d like to see a motorway built that links Gent to Mechelen without going over Antwerpen or Brussel…
Not forgetting a motorway that links Veurne to Ieper so I don’t have to drive down that rotten N8 road…

Dc the entire lot, remove all the crap roundabouts.
It would be nice to come up to a junction, be it on a roundabout or otherwise and be able to see as you look right, it seems all you see is the back of the signs giving directions. They have obviously not taken the height of your average LGV into account

Don’t fill in pot holes,a waste of time.Resurface any roads with several pot holes ( most roads ).

Build a tunnel from the M20 to the M1 no exits so any traffic from the south going north can by pass the M25 and dartford.

They ruined the most fun section…the west bound DC by bass lake! Had some fun through there in cars when I was younger, driving home from work and terrorising the tourists!

Tell me about it, although using a Sat Nav usually still gives you some fun, amazing what 50mph actually reads on a car speedo 
The amount of traffic that use it, it is seriously undersized though!
