Rigid drivers are better

windrush:
Oh well Billy, you keep believing in whatever gets your rocks off! By that definition then I must be better than the class 3 lads, a little like the old Frost Report sketch on tv youtube.com/watch?v=K2k1iRD2f-c which puts me well below you class 1 chaps but higher than a two axle gritter driver.

Pete.

You could be correct, you would have to take it up with them, I don’t usually bother wondering what the inferior licence holders get up to

And some have the cheek to slag foreign drivers!

I would have been really impressed if he finished off with blindsiding onto a British loading bay. Some of the scariest memories I have were watching the crazy foreigners tackling the bays in chivas one way system

Apart from running over a woman and child going in forwards and then hitting another pedestrian reversing in (well, the barrier COULD have been a person) he didn’t do badly. Take the pedal from the metal lad, speed kills!

Pete.

Think the idea was to hit the barrier knocking off the top pole without the ones holding it up. Was just showing good judgement

No that would have been a rigid driver reversing an A frame outfit through the slalom course and then putting a knitting kneedle stuck to the back of the trailer through the middle of a polo mint on the post. :smiling_imp:

Wouldn’t be that hard

If you ask the missus she says on a Saturday night you better be rigid, soft and floppy ain’t no use.
However proper drivers pull a trailer !

After 40 years driving actics, i have been driving a 8 wheeler (what class i do not know) for the past two months, for better money than i ever made on artics and with no nights out .
Also i have read on here of the abuse towards rigid drivers from so called supertruckers as some think they are ,i thought they were bs ters about this but no ,i have had abuse ,horn blaring, light flashing idiots , that did not like slowing down a little to let me get away after pulling out of side roads with ample space.
Three trucks have done this to me in the past 2 month,Macburneys.Dents Penrith and plain white Scanny tipper.
So look out for me on my Readymix truck around Penrith and give me a bit of time to get on my way.
Klunk,
Ex Euro trucker inc Middle East of 40 years experience now upgraded to a 8 wheeler.

I dont care, I love you all xxxxxxxxxx
