RHA sacking - place your bets!

My money is on Mr McKenzie losing his job within 10 days.

Reason - Mr McKenzie has decided to spend more time with his family.

Real reason - brought in from the beeb as an agitator with power to disrupt government.

LoL…

You’re not in the champagne socialist elite now Rod, with unlimited funds from the public ■■■■■ who hate paying you. You’re in the real world where you’re messing with real people, their jobs and their livelihood.

You’re just another nasty little middle class social climber willing to sell out anyone and everyone for your thirty pieces of silver. Tony Blair was a busted flush decades ago. Rod, stop. Just stop.

You’re no match for the government, any government. You got carried away with your little bit of power in the bubble of the beeb and thought that’s how the world works. It doesn’t. You’re a little stupid man who was cosseted in the beeb.

Out here in the real world we see you. We know what you’re trying to do.

You hate the working class.

Guess what! We hate you too. We’ll win. You’ll pay the proper rate for your latte, your cleaner, your au pair, your chauffeur, AND your lorry drivers.

FCK YOU Rod… and fCK you RHA

And my aupair likes it DOUBLEBUBBLE!!

Well said!

Now I found Rod’s and the RHA’s no.1 nemesis!

Don’t know why drivers are getting twisted up over it. Understand it never was and never will be their remit over drivers, their responsibility is to their members (ie the companies we work for).

Look at it through that lens and yes they want cheaper labour but don’t want to be undercut by eu hauliers. If it was your business wouldn’t you want to spend less and make more?

I’m not by any stretch sticking up for them by the way, it’s just that I can see where their loyalties and its not with us. We don’t pay their membership fees.

“Prejudiced against Brexit”? “Hijacked by remainers”?
Or maybe, the companies have reason to be discontent? And the Gov is attempting to freeze out opposition and debate?
Easy to see where this news outlet is coming from.

Yes they may have reason to be discontent but then if they treated their employees with a bit of respect they might not be in the crap that they are now. I fully get that the RHA is for the companies and not the drivers yet any organisation that doesn’t criticise it’s members for their treatment of employees deserves all the criticism it gets and when it is repeatedly pointed out to them why there are problems with recruitment and retention they repeatedly fail to take any action then don’t be surprised if the government doesn’t play ball with them. If they had heeded the advice given to them after their all party commons select meeting then maybe the government would be a bit more sympathetic towards them basically they stuck two fingers up to that advice yet expect the government to take them seriously.

Rob McKenzie is just a mouthpiece for the RHA. so firing him will do little. He knows as much about trucking as Boris does. ■■■■ all.

I bet that’s not all she likes…

Ken.

The government are at least good at one thing- deflecting blame. They’re masters at that.

Yep. But it takes someone with an IQ of your size to see it. Us lowly plebs can’t possibly fathom the Machiavellian tactics at play by BoJo.

fyi. I was perfectly happy with the status quo. So, I had no reason to blame the government. It was not until the RHA kicked up a fuss about 100k driver shortages and needing foreign drivers that this whole process started.

Deflecting blame?

The government has given Remainers, RHA, big business exactly what they want - Unlimited European drivers…(in foreign trucks)

Wasn’t this what RHA wanted? Unlimited European drivers?

The government caved to RHA and Remainer demands. You now have unlimited European drivers…(in foreign trucks)

What’s your problem now?

Lol…

Maybe you can’t seen things from alternative viewpoints but most of us can. He’s sold Brexit voters down the river and still so many Brexit voters throw the blame at everyone else. Doesn’t take a Brexit voter to see that.

I would agree with you 100% apart from the fact they say they “represent” the “industry” and by virtue the public think drivers.

Ask a member of the public who the RHA is and who they represent and the answer you’ll get back is the RHA is a drivers union. You think this happened by accident?

That’s some clever mechanics going on there. It’s probably cost them several million pounds over the decades but it’s worked a treat up until this week.

It was probably easier back in the day before the internet. These days people get their news from far more sources than any single entity can control. The RHA can’t control Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp etc etc… it’s free flowing information. Take a look at the fuel ‘crisis’. Drivers were laughing and posting videos saying what a crock of ■■■ it was.

The RHA tried to keep all the plates spinning by bringing in Rob McKenzie from the beeb. He was well known as being an agitator and a disruptor. In other words, he’d sell his soul to whoever paid him.

You and I know the RHA were and still are working against drivers. They don’t have our interest at heart.

We need to ensure every single member of the public knows this and who they truly represent.

Ask yourself why the press always ask the RHA about drivers working conditions and pay. It’s because the press see them as representing drivers.

I stand by my comment in another post - you will not hear another word about shortages now the government has threatened to give RHA what they want - Unlimited European Drivers…in European trucks

Lol…

I’m a Brexit voter. I’m a truck driver.

I say bring in every European trucking company. Sod it! Bring in Russian trucking companies as well.

You wanted free movement. Let’s have free movement.

Let every eastern european trucking company pick over the bones.

What does it matter to me as a UK driver?

UK companies want me on minimum wage fighting against foreign drivers. I’ll quite happily work for Waeberer on minimum wage. It doesn’t really matter to me does it?

Waeberer has a legal duty to pay me minimum wage. I’ll either work for them or stack shelves in Tesco.

It seems you want a closed system where companies can bring in cheap foreign labour but not cheap trucks and companies.

That’s not very welcoming and ‘open borders’ is it?
