POLLOCK ATKINSON
heres one at work
SCANIA LB 111
Me thinks you might be in the minority boris as long as people restore near enough is good enough, I prefer vintage truck shows to the likes of truskfest etc. I`ve restored this over the last 18mth ok not a truck but comercial based.
Hello greek,
that looks very tidy kenny how long did that take to restore.

The Atkinson, Pollock motor looks very nice, any one notice what is not correct about it ?.
ATKINSON BUFFS should spot it.![]()
.
All the vehicles that are restored to what ever condition are a credit to the people who have spent time and money on them, but just some things just need to be correct to make it have the wow factor and make you want to stand and look at it or even go back for another look.brian.
The top bumper is upside-down. That’s all.
All this garbage about the ‘wrong mirrors’ is just that - garbage. If one got broken in service and the originals weren’t available, nobody criticised an operator for putting a serviceable replacement on. In many cases (as Chris correctly pointed out with regard to the 400-series mirrors) they were used in service so there’s no loss of operational originality.
I seem to remember a phrase which went ‘Those that can - do. Those that can’t - moan about it.’ Never a truer word spoken.

Just in case anybody interested in how long it takes to get an old moter into shape (boris) even just an old Transit that was mainly cosmetic have a look at the link above. To nic pic on painting in non original paint schemes & the odd different mirror is a bit harsh on blokes that spend mths & yrs restoring something at their own expense & probably have to work for a living as well.
