Remember - YOU are the face of the company (Stobart/Tesco)

Made me chuckle

Yes… I’ll admit it… It appears to be a euroland agency driver.

why argue? Get the Managa

Driver is football field away from the back door area. I’d be kicking up ■■■■ aswell.

Doesn’t matter where the driver is from, a truck driver is a truck driver, simples! Stobart/tossco had a job to do, who the zb did the monkey recording think he was? He wants to be treated like royalty just because he wants some air, why not wait or zb off somewhere else? ■■■■■■

I sympathise with the driver being tetchy to an extent, I have done Express deliveries and those kind of stores (petrol forecourts) are a pain in the rear because you quite simply cannot take an artic on there during the day and unload 9/10 without causing somebody some inconvenience.

Always found it astounding how the attitude of store staff was always “■■■■ um, block them in”, you’ve got to be prepared to help people out in my opinion. The stores delivery shouldn’t be anybody else’s problem, the bloke was there first and parked legally in a bay, so he is in the right to be ■■■■■■ off. Anybody who thinks the driver & Tesco are in the right to expect him to wait half an hour are mad.

The Driver looked smart in his combats :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Why? Iv done it before at a tesco express, completed my delivery and zb’ed off with the car driver sat there waiting, they didn’t complain because they were parked on tossco property in a delivery area

If he is parked in a delivery area thats different, he isn’t. He is parked in a legitimate parking bay & I have never seen any signage on these forecourts to suggest to people they might get blocked in by deliveries. The risk assessment just says park across the bays, which is ■■■■■■■■. The store should have them coned off prior to your arrival.

He could/should have just backed up to the marked hatched area then he would be in no ones way - LOADS of room to do so.

Like I say, YOU are the face of the company, telling customers to zb off and calling them tossers because he was blocked in by some plank that could have just backed up a few meters isn’t really a move that would be appreciated by a company “Desperate” to regain customers, like Tossco

Always waited till Cars drove off. Staff put Cones to block Area and if that wasn’t possible i wrote “Delivery not possible, why:…” and drove back to RDC
Few Times i phoned up but they say to sort it out. Didnt say how i as Driver tell the Store Manager to do his Job. So,well,…

That is tesco extra on casterton ave in Burnley.

Yet again proving why you are almost completely unemployable in this industry :unamused:

Apparently you even struggle with pulling vegetables out of the ground…

Well I can see why STOBARTS are taking on all this extra work ( Hermes, coop etc) , it won’t be long before they loose tesco work if that’s the behaviour , attitude of the drivers , agency or not :unamused: .
You know when you pull in too those express stores there could be cars/ vans parked where you may need to be , but you know they won’t be long as there normally getting paper , milk , fuel etc , so you just sit and wait until you can park where you need to be moves
tesco are on a campaign to regain customers , not alienate them :unamused: , I’d of thought if they view this they’ll be less than impressed :exclamation:

He probably couldn’t move it til his break was up

OMG, what a palava about nothing!
When the car driver wants to get his car out just say “OK pal, give me 2 seconds”, then make everything safe and back the truck up a few metres. Crisis over…

As well as not having to push the cages as far!

so if the guy was putting air in as he said… where was he then the wagon pulled up and started to unload? surely he would have noticed a big old truck parking behind him? and could have said can you hold on 2 mins and i be out of you way to the wagon driver…

sounds to me like hes one of them people who just like to cause a drama…

also usiing a mobile phone while in charge of a motor vehicle, 6 points for the wagon driver, engine started so he is in charge

Which country was this in?

They clearly have no plan for deliveries. The forecourt should have been coned off in advance to avoid such a scenario. Very easily remedied.
