I did Tesco deliveries in an 18t for a while. We blocked a guy in in a sportscar because he was parked in the unloading area (there were staff cars also, but the staff are there anyway so they don’t mind being blocked in). He wasn’t very happy but don’t think he wanted to kick off with 3 of us watching him
Don’t park like a ■■■■■ That said I haven’t seen the video but reading the comments the driver is in the wrong in this case. Try not to block in customers, you’ll interrupt your break while you tip.
In this case the driver could just have backed up as it was only one car, but in a lot of cases on multidrop and store deliveries you have no choice but to block a few cars in. If you stopped unloading, secured the cages, and moved every time you were asked to you would never get the job done and would pretty soon be unemployed.
You don’t have to be a ■■■■ about it but sometimes car drivers/pedestrians/shoppers just need to accept a bit of inconvenience.
That’s why trg are always advertising for drivers on the tesco contract in London region. Lucky the geezer just came out with a camera, normally it would be a bat.Its called stressful routing, should be done in a rigid. But we know tossco ain’t making money, So big idea let’s get Stobarts in…COZ every little helps…my driving day is bad enough without that sxxt
IF a company attempts to grab more market share by being seen to do more of the jobs out there - but with instantly dislikable staff… Then surely it’s folly to pursue such a policy for the foreseeable future? Even the argument for “leaving the EU” seems strengthened by such everyday happenings.
I wonder if all those jobs talked of “disappearing if we leave” - start with jobs like this so typical model of “foreign agency driver at Stobarts” as well as other “cost-cutter” companies out there… It’s cost cutting for themselves rather than the customers though, when one factors in all the time wasted dealing with claims by customers against the firm for damage, missing goods, misunderstandings, and of course driving insurance liabilities too…

Gold star on your 1st post, pat on head also in post
Yes they are, just not as much as they would like to.

Hmm, imo its because Eddie Stobart know how to run a better more cost effective transport operation than tesco do, after all they are a supermarket not a logistics outfit!

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the situation the bloke behind the camera is a prat

The clown wandering around on a garage forecourt with a mobile phone would wind me up more!

+1…and amen to that… it just shows that England is finished as a country…1 nauseating mr bean English sounding prat with a cam,a flipflop stobrat driver,a wifey that looks like she s just back from a stoning in iraq and another one of debatable origin that looks like he just woke up in a skip in Calais. welcome to Tesco uk.
and before dipper dave pipes up,then yes,id definitely plough her…how about you??
What a pair of ■■■■ wits. Mr high and mighty with his phone out coz he was inconvenienced? Jesus Christ if he thinks that is a crisis he clearly has a very easy/boring life.
Truck driver however could have prevented an issue by backing right up to the loading area, like he should have done in the first place.
I deliberately try and get blocked in coz one day some self righteous agency driver is going to say “here’s the keys , you move it”. At which point I’ll be off like the clappers on a jolly.
Only in England could an English chap be such a pompous arse but on the other hand only in England could foreigners get away with this crap.
I would definitely plough the one in fancy dress though.

But dave by parking your car so it gets blocked in your just causing a headache for a fellow truck driver , if I go anywhere that I know will involve a delivery by a truck I’ll do my best to park so it doesn’t hinder the truck driver when he arrives , leaves or when he’s tipping .
Foreign agency stobart driver he may be , but he is one of us , a truck driver

You’d probably have to take a knife to your meat and two veg to qualify though. It’s gotta be killed off in the halal fashion before it’s fit to pass the lips…
Seriously though - a huge part of the “integration” problem in this country - is that Muslim women are just not available to the local non-Muslim guys here.
