New tractors and machines that run on red are more advance than the average car! They now need to hit even tighter emission standards and require adblue just like trucks. I have never heard of engine damage from the red diesel itself only from contamination in the tank that’s usually from 45 drums, or other containers that have been used to store or move it about in.
In a different lifetime used to run to Spain with a belly tank of 250 gallons of red. Used to check/clean/change the fuel filters more than usaul, put that down to crude in the belly tank. But I still think it has a sweet smell compared to white diesel.

Me too. Wouldn’t be surprised if we worked for the same outfit.
Redditch.
I remember changing my filters at Sunbilla truck stop when a Guarda Civil turned up being all helpful and friendly.
He asked if I had a problem.
I said “ye’, my 19mm spanner doesn’t want to play.”
He went off and got me one of his then stood around watching me bleeding it.
I thought bu55er off will ya’.
Nice of him I’m sure but thank god he didn’t climb up as there was red diesel puddling in some parts of the engine.
