What a complete and utter richard head. âiâll rip your heart outâ i think you have watched the last of the mohicans far to many times. Did your mum refuse you her â â â as a childâ â ?
After a proper crap week, this thread has put a smile on my face.

Iâd hope for your sake you donât have what youâve had in your life these last couple of weeks all the time. Youâve every right to feel however you want to feel!
What an eyeopener of a post from truckerwannabe. This is the attitude of many of the younger generation as I see it.A teacher friend told ma that in his(40year)experience the first time a lot of children are ever refused anything of importance is if they fail their car driving test. They have never been refused anything in their life, overindulged by parents, living indisciplined lives, thinking they are Godâs gift to the world, making them completely unable to cope with any sort of failure or knockback in life. This may not apply here, perhaps he had a legitimate excuse for the attitude.Hope he grows up before venting his anger on the road ,if he ever gets a job.
I was probably like him when I was first working,âforeman doesnât like me,only get crappy jobs etcâ.I soon learned!!!
most of the brits cant drive anyway, especially the woman, just by getting an entitlement on your licence doesnât make you high class. most of the people here are just keyboard warriors, but dont have the guts to do it one 2 one basis. because they dont know what kind of black mamba they will face.
My husband is a trainer, and guess what, he said quite a few women learn quicker, and are better drivers, so where Realy,Realy Depressed gets that info from, he really sounds miffed.
Right this thread has turned out to be actually funny. Shame its in a pathetic way.
Truckerwannabe there is serious lack of logic in your arguement.
Your username implies that you are new to this industry, yet your ego implies that you should get any job you want without earning it the hard way. Through the hard yards.
truckerwannabe:

With a comment like that you acknowledge that there is going to be knock backs and doors shut in your face.
Therefore why are you spitting your dummy out when you dont get the job? Your actions speak that because YOU think the day went well you therefore deserve the job. There might have been that simple ONE point that you didnt elaborate on during the interview.
truckerwannabe:
it will make u chuckle when u chuckle in front of my face, and rip your heart out.
Thats a great attitude to have in any firm. Whats are you going to be like, when you get to a drop and the person is questioning why you werent there 3 hrs ago (even though you started your shift only an hour ago)? Your gonna cause issues between the firm and client which is going to annoy your TMâŚwhich will eventually lead to you getting the boot, probably sooner rather than later.
As for the whole âI wont be buying your milk anymore.â Well thats just great! What would you have done (if you could actually keep you trap shut) if they had rang you back tomorrow or the day after and offered you a new vacancy slot? With an outburst like that, you write your own career death warrant!
truckerwannabe:
anyway i dont care if you ban me or suspend me, i wont be coming on this forum anyway, as its very unhelpful and waste of time
Just one question? Why the [zb] hell are you writing on here then? Seems that after spitting the dummy out your now throwing the toys cos people dont agree with your point of view! Awwww such a shameâŚYAWN!!!
If everyone posted everytime they got knocked back it would be a very very boring time! You dust yourself off and get back on it!
As you have edited the original post to just say Hi, Ill finish itâŚGOODBYE!
A totally illogical arguement by a little boy who didnt get his own way.

Youâve insulted at least one of the more experienced and respected drivers on this forum, youâve insulted women drivers and just about everyone who drives trucks for a living not to mention the entire British race

You would think that Wisemans would have jumped at the opportunity of employing a driver with so much experience, seriously though did it not occur to you that they may have wanted someone with a proven track record ?
You need to understand that you have to start at the bottom and work your way up, itâs going to be hard but you should have known that before training.
Anyway whether or not you post here again I honestly think that you should seriously think about your attitude and see if you can adjust your thinking
By the way you may or may not be interested to know that there are drivers here who would have appreciated the opportunity of even applying for a permanent job so soon after passing the HGV test.
Sort of puts your frustration at not getting the job into perspective I hope
I have read this thread with interest, while its understandable to feel frustrated after investing so much time money and stress to get your license (failed artic yesterday and am gutted) you really have got start as you mean to go on and be as professional as you can, never lash out particularly to people that are spending their own time to give you advice, go outside and kick your dustbin around your garden get yourself calm and straight and go on to the next hurdle and the next and the next these guys are here to help, ranting at them only harms yourself, you may of acted out of character (it happens) but im sure a sorry guys (girls and british nationals) would sort the job out
getting a driving job so soon after getting C would be astounding frankly, and remember its a employers market i would guess C+E is always going to be more attractive to them as they will have more options when planning work for drivers i dont expect to get a driving job any time soon and am looking for work elsewhere in the meantime
i have worked in the service/installation industry for 10 years and in any job where you work/deliver at a customers premises you are the face of the company and they will blame you for being there at the wrong time on the wrong day with the wrong stuff (with the wrong truck) none of it your fault its normally your office has messed up, but you have to handle it smooth it over as best you can and breath a sigh of relief when you leave, the getting from A to B is the easy bit, any ranting or stamping of feet will only get you a bad name and words spreads within any industry and its customers then youve had it, as i said before think and be as professional as you can be from the very beginning then you cant go far wrong
next time you experience a boss or manager ranting and behaving like a spoiled idiot ask yourself if you want to end up like that
hope it helps

100% agree im am yet to even make it to the interview stage. He should of been thankful that they even pulled him in for an interview in the first place!!!
