I know someone who is getting £12.75 per hour as a 7.5 tonne driver (night shift) for Royal mail.
And I saw a class 1 driving job advertised for TNT which was only paying £10.88 per hour.
How does that work out

With Companies like TnT, Tuffnells, Yodel, DX and formally CityLink it generally comes down to the GM. So from depot to depot wages can vary quite a lot within the same company.
There incentive is to save as much money as possible so they get their nice fat bonuses. I work at a place where we are paid the lowest in the area. Its funny in a way as we are always understaffed and always people not showing up or pulling a sickie. Yet they can’t get rid of them because they can’t get anyone else.

I speak the truth, nothing more, nothing less.Don’t let yourself be misguided by the happy tucker brigade in here, which I’m NOT part of.
I know eagerbeaver will be back here, shortly and will proceed in telling you how wonderful it is to be sitting on an air-sprung seat, whilst earning his poor wage.
If I was you, I’d stick with delivering mail. You’ll get a hell of a lot more respect from the general public doing that.
Troll alarm is ringing … Massive!! total post contribution and already showing disrespect to seasoned contributors.
To the OP have a look at how many posts a negative contributor has before paying it much attention. Not saying some with thousands don’t talk [zb] but its a reasonable guide.
