Last year we were travelling up to Skye, in same said car, pulled in for the night at Cambuslang (yes, the good lady does get treated now and then) and reached for the tacho head to knock it in rest…
Got me thinking though, this is after a mere 3.5 yrs of driving. Is this as bad as it gets, or have I got more to look forward to by my 20 year anniversary?
I’ve seen me do a ‘manual change down’ on the wiper stalk on the car.
On the positive side I also always notice any bridge heights in the car, so not all bad being a completely brain washed trucker.

In the good old days before auto boxes my missus caught me “fondling” the side of the gear lever in a bmw searching for the splitter
I was going to post more or less exactly this! I have been away all week this week so not driven my bmw since Monday morning. I caught myself going for either the range change or the splitter switch! I gave up auto trucks a couple of years ago [emoji23]

I’ve been guilty of driving for miles behind someone in the middle lane of the motorway before remembering I am actually allowed in the outside lane today! Bit embarrassing but true
Often see drivers heading home in their own cars with their hi viz still on…
strange behaviour [emoji39][emoji38]
Tbh I’ve forgotten a gooood few times my cars manual an ■■■■ stalled it at the first pull of coz weirdly a clutch pedals reappeared in the ‘■■■■’ pit [emoji28]
called my car a ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ wagon when its sluggish pulling out of junctions(driver a automatic car), I drive a merc wagon(■■■■■■■■■■■■■ lol), and wife just looks at me funny
Often look fo the handbrake in middle of dashboard in me car, or wonder why it’s shaking when I slow down and have completely forgotten it’s a manual unlike the wagons.
Remember years ago doing first multidrop work got back in my old Sierra and nearly rammed my foot through the floor after using the Leyland clutch all day!
