Re.English Referendum

Now that the Scottish referendum is over why can’t we have one just for England and make it a double one A)We vote for our Independence and leave the U.K. and B)Vote to leave the EU.Thereby killing two birds with one stone  Now where is the “Leatherhead Legend” to kick off proceedings and give us the benefit of his vast knowledge on every subject known to man !    Bewick. PS I would vote YES on both counts !

Blimey that sounds as nuts as Farage’s support of Gordon Brown and Cameron in the Scottish independence vote.

How the zb could you vote yes on both counts when you’ve been saying on countless posts that you support the idea of the UK and the Scottish NO to independence vote.

IE the best way to get what ( you’re now ) saying that you’d vote for ( would have been ) by supporting a Scottish yes vote together with calling for an English referendum for independence too.Which is what I’ve actually been saying on my countless posts on the subject and you’ve said that I’m talking bollox. :open_mouth: :unamused:

Nothing to do with me.Although it might just be possible that he read all my posts and suddenly realised that he couldn’t be a nationalist calling for Scottish independence while also being a federalist in supporting EU membership. So he decided to call it a day and run for it instead of admitting the mistake to his supporters. :open_mouth:

I see they’re all trotting out the usual bollox about needing to listen to what people really want in this country, and acting upon it. Must be an election on the way!

I think any party who guarantees a referendum on membership of the EU would leap ahead - I honestly don’t know how I’d vote in one, but would like to see an end to the constant carping amongst the major parties about ‘what the people want’

Make no mistake it won’t be that easy. You can bet that any EU referendum will be subject to even more scare tactics and biased pro EU propaganda in the media than Gordon Brown could have dreamed of.While we’ve already seen the willingness of the English to fall for all the federalist bs in the case of the nationalist cause breaking up the UK let alone throwing a grenade into the EU.

Looks like they’ve got Milliband by the goolies by asking for the same treatment in England as they have agreed to give the Scots ! Which is spot on in my book, and if it means Labour losing 41 Scots MP’s tough why should they be able to vote on English matters when English MP’s can’t vote on Scottish ones ? Cheers Bewick.

Just like Farage, assuming that you don’t want the Scottish and the English to be involved in a unionist/federalist government system,in which Scottish MP’s obviously share government powers with their English counterparts then, like Farage, why the zb did you support exactly that by supporting the idea of the ‘Union’ as opposed to independence.

IE there are no ‘English’ matters because you and those who followed your ideology supported the continuation of the ‘Union’ ( UK ) In which case there is no such thing as ‘English’ matters because there is no such thing as ‘England’ in terms of the right to govern itself. It’s obvious that Brown would prefer to allow the English to vote on Scottish matters than stop his voting on English ones.Especially considering that the Cons deservedly have no MP’s in Scotland anyway and aren’t likely to get many any time soon.

Make no mistake the hypocrisy of Farage and those who supported the continuation of the Union,as opposed to the breakup of that union, have probably doomed the idea,of now trying to backtrack on that,to failure.Because, contrary to your dreams of having Miliband by the sphericals, the fact is it’s him and his Scottish allies led by Gordon Brown and their Libdem allies who’ll be taking us even deeper into the federalist UK and EU mire after the rebel Conservatives and UKIP get wiped out at the election by the LabLibdem co alition helped by Cameron to do it.Which would probably be no less than the stupidity of the contradiction of a Unionist so called anti federalist ‘Independence’ Party deserves. :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

That is unless the English finally come to their senses in admitting that they’ve made an even bigger mistake,in following all the socialist Brownite federalist bs propaganda and in doing so keeping the Union together, than those Scottish No voters did in throwing the baby of independence out with the bathwater of Salmond. :bulb: :unamused:
