Hope you don’t mind me adding to your Ralph Davies memories.
I worked next door in AWF then BPL initially in office then eventually driving the trucks. used your workshops quite often to get our old Volvos serviced and/or repaired. Good to see a bunch of guys that can have great memories of old trucks and people. Was good to see a well kept fleet of trucks and trailers on the road. You might know a recent addition to the ranks there…Sean Chambers…well I believe he works there occasionally…I know hes working for the company I work for in China at present.
Am trying to remember the guys name on servicing…me brains gone dead…any reminders welcome please…cheers

John, I spoke to nick Farr a few weeks ago, he is a foreman for a electrical firm in
Gloucester. He lives in Quedgely near Gloucester and just had a baby,well his wife did. Hope your business is doing well although it should as you were always a good masterbaker Chris.

Bill things are not much better in denmark,got a few m8s there, they tell me things are just as bad there,all over at the mo,Teneriife is the same at the mo people have got no money to spend.we are not doing to bad as we are the number 1 english bakers ere (not being big headed).We have just got better each year and holding our own this year, Anyway hows mike ok i hope.if yu got any photos from when we were on the road send us some pls 1st wife put all mine in the bin. sent yu a pm

Hi Chris, I know what you mean with pig he definatley is a proud dad, either that or it’s just the relief of robbie looking nowt like him!!! Lol.
Bakerman, lol, its bad everywhere in transport with the economy as it is and the chuffin commies taking over everything cos they’re cheap so what you have to do is specialise (or as you did, get out of it). You wont get a lot of commies delivering wind turbines cos you need a brain when your 45 meter long or grossin 75 ton mate.
I’ll try to dig out some photo’s jon but i’m afraid most of the “interesting” ones went the same way as yours i’m afraid!!!
