Dermot O’leary & Tony Blackburn best things on radio 2. Jeremy Vine boils my ■■■■, why would you have someone on from an allotment telling you he’s doing FFS. Sarah Cox was on for Janice Long Friday am, always liked her.
Now Sara Cox… She can make any topic of conversation sound like utter filth! Fantastic
If you want good music from the 50s 60s and 70s with no inane chat and no adverts try Flower Power Radio on the internet . Youll never have Radio 2 on again if you have a computer
I listen to Heart mainly, Least when your having a ■■■■ day the feel good tunes kick in
Even if it is music 15 years before i was born

its that dirty northern accent
i enjoyed craig charles when he filled in for wright over the xmas period
I listened to graham Norton’s show today for the first time. I was laughing all the way back to the depot.
the maoster:
Bring back Jimmy Saville, they need to attract a younger audience.
thats funny that is you’ll do for me
Problem seems to be that, in general, Radio Two has become the dumping ground for presenters(?) who are considered too old or “past it” for Radio One.
And before you youngsters tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about, I have the benefit of a listening experience going back to the Light Programme.
Trouble is, our favourite presenters would like to retire, just like us!
In general the actual dj’s are fine. It’s when they bring in the likes of Richard Madeley, Claudia Winkelman and Maria McErlane, that it all goes norks up.
They may be able to read a script, but they have no musical knowledge.
Claudia was covering popmaster the other day and obviously the music clips had somehow got mixed up into the wrong order. She played what I think was an Al Green track to a Duran Duran question, and still asked “what was their follow up to that”'or something, them did exactly the same with the pet shop boys about 30 seconds later.
Maybe her daft fringe was in the way, still unacceptable.
And considering he was on Capital for so long. Chris Tarrant is the only man on mainstream radio that is so incompetent that I can’t wait for Steve Wright to get back from hols.
My suggestion is give Simon Mayo the Steve Wright slot, and replace him on drive time with Moyles.
Give Alex Lester his choice of start time, and make sure he carries on up until 6.30.
Get that ■■■■ Feltz woman off my radio. It comes to something when I actually take pleasure in hearing Aled Jones

yes its very good
I agree with everyone about Feltz.
She’s rude and annoying. When she’s on her own show she is forever interrupting the news presenters and the birthday people, and she does exactly the same on Vine’s show as well when they have guests on. She has the manners of a pig. I turn her down now and make phone calls to mates and have a good old natter and catch up about what we are doing that day. She makes Sarah Kennedy look good.
Tarrant is a bit similar as well. Likes to hear his own voice, although he is knowledgeable.
Evans is ok, but not brilliant.
Bruce is about the best one along with the Dark Lord. Their 2 shows should follow each other to give continuity but that would deny the night lads their few hours of pleasure.
Vine is alright if he would just have balanced opinions on his show. I’ve rung in many times and never once had a point put across. Although he is about the same age as me, and therefore plays some punk music.
Agree with Wrighty. His show has never really changed since the R1 days. As much as I like him, I think it’s time to move Steve.
Mayo is an extremely good presenter. Love the confession and Dr. Mosh.
I hope that R2 gaffers NEVER give Moyles a mainstream daytime show, as that would be it as far as I’m concerned, and I’ll start tuning into local radio. He was very good when he first started off on the early show on R1, but as soon as he got the brekky show, he became stuck up his own arse. The saviour of R1? That’s why he’s now unemployed and Evans was wiping the floor with him.
The stand in presenters are absolutely ■■■■. Winkleman may be good in the sack, but she can’t present a mainstream show. Keep her on at night when I’m at home. Tuburdy is funny, but I wish he would slow down so I could understand the eejit. As for the comedy presenters… Pleeeeeaaassseee.
With the exception of a few, R2 is slowly going down the pan.
Ken.
I agree with most of Quinny’s post, but I think Tarrant is worse he never lets his guests finish a sentence, as for Steve Wright his show is nothing like his R1 show, I used to love his stuff like Mick Jagger & Keith, Mr Angry etc but now it’s all bloody factoids and old woman…boring. If you think Moyles was a bighead up his own arse it just shows that you don’t really get him, that is just his thing… trust me, I always thought the same and hated him, then about 5or6yrs ago my little girl who used to come with me, kept changing to him, I got addicted and listened to him too his last show, I reckon R2 need him to liven them up,maybe replace Evans who really IS up his own arse and not as genuine as he makes out, I once watched a doc about R1 in the 90s, his persona off air between records was unbelievable, rude and arsey to all the others in the studio, and back to Mr Nice when the record finished.
I have to say I miss Wogan, legend. Alice Richardson should and deserves his own slot. Although I never hear the Dark lord Lester these days (I’m still asleep) I always rated him. I weren’t too keen on Simon Mayo to begin with, but I enjoy his show. All in all, I quite radio 2, but a shake up couldn’t do any harm. Give Allison Jemima Wine’s slot. Make lunchtime a pleasure!!!
Radio 2 should get Richard Nankeville from Radio ■■■■■■■■ better than anyone currently at R2
