Human nature is to give in to temptation, well thats how we came into excistence, allegedly…
The funny thing is those who think they are incorruptable are often the easiest corrupted.

R we more dishonest then other proffessionals? Looking at these foums loads of posts about liying to insurence companies, not reporting bad driving, runnin bent etc.
What’s dishonest about ‘not reporting bad driving’ ? (I’ve got better things to do than grass someone up everytime I see a bit of bad driving)
It says ERF not RAF:

If I had to report every instance of bad driving, tailgating, hi viz wearing agency numpty I see on a daily basis I would get nothing done.
I let them get on with it in the hope they will figure out eventually.
Also I have enough moments of stupidty myself to worry about…
Oh apart from tipper drivers I report them at every opportunity…
The only bit of bad driving I rang the Old Bill about was this week, well it’s not exactly bad driving but dangerous.
I was plodding down the A1 just North of Doncaster as a ‘Brown Brothers’ fridge came down the slip road and joined the main A1 infront of me, as he entered lane 1 his back doors were open and the one on the drivers side swung out into lane 2 showing off half a dozen pallets of produce , then due to the wind stayed open but level with the side of the trailer so the driver couldn’t see it. I pulled out into an empty lane 2 and gave him a load of main beam etc but he just carried on, I sped up a bit but couldn’t catch up. I noticed cars slowing and flashing lights at him to no avail, he didn’t have a clue (if I was driving and varios motorists were flashing lights and overtaking me with hazards on I would like to think I’d realise there was a problem).
Due to it being dark, in the early hours and dangerous I then rang the Old Bill, just as I finished my call a car pulled in front of him with hazards on slowing down and making it obvious he needed to stop ! , which he did.
A few miles down the A1 I was plodding through the 40 mph roadworks section and he flew past like a bat out of hell with both doors firmly closed…
I’ve once been asked to take a load of sandwiches somewhere when it snowed bad a few years ago, I helped myself to a few in case I got stuck but didn’t tell anybody.
Not quite sure how you can become a grown adult and be of the opinion the word honesty means something about doing everything a bunch of dubiously elected chancers, that call themselves the government says and informing the police every time you see some bad driving.
Jesus wept, where do you start?
If you think genuine unflinching honesty is the be all and end all, of being some sort of what you think represents a good decent person, try the ‘honest’ answer the next time the missus asks if her bum looks big in something.
Here’s some more genuine honesty, try rubbing your two brain cells together a bit faster and see if you can decide for yourself about what is the right way to behave towards others.

I’ve also been known to steal toilet paper to clean my mirrors with from the services
I hope that is not used toilet paper
If you don’t want to be in a profession where your colleagues are toerags then may I suggest working with a bunch of two-faced backstabbers in an office or you could take abuse & derogatory remarks from the public and private parties driving a bus or coach, as a non-graduate that actually has a job and not a career my options are limitless…
Show me a profession where there aren’t any dishonest people!
But if truckers are that dishonest and untrustworthy would anyone really give them hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of load and wave them off?

It goes on in all professions ,when I worked in a engineering factory we would make extra components through the week ,lock them away then on a Saturday when the foreman went at10 am on a Saturday get them out ,and soon as he went we would give it 30 mins then we’d go home, leaving one of us too clock us all out at 14.00 .
Did the same in the week ,one of us would come in at 6 am clock us all in ,we would come 7.30 just before foreman came at 8 a.m.
Come in 14 .oo work your socks off until 20.00( foreman went 18.00) then pile out the canteen until finish time ( 2am if o/t ) .
Etc,etc,etc
Have you never heard of beds built into cupboards in factories
Okay ask your self this, have you called every girl/bloke (keep the pc brigade happy.com) you have slept with back?

only if its good quality,i wont nick anything below papermate
done a similiar jump over some tram lines near to sheffield or maybe nottingham, caught me by suprise ill tell ya, everthing lifted a foot in the cab
when I leave a company, either through the sack or of my own doing I allways make sure I take something with me,dont know why but it gives me some sort of satisfaction knowing I have something of theirs, different kinds of things like exterior lights, tools ,clothing, work boots, all pretty decent stuff, and I do not feel guilty at all, particularly if I did not like the employer

We’re all dishonest. It’s just truck driving gives us plenty of opportunity to break the law. Speeding, magnets etc.
What you gonna do in an office, steal a pen
slightly off topic , but why doesn’t anything fall off the back of a wagon these days ■■? it used to be quite common and strangely enough it all managed to find its way to a pub

When you do trunking for parcel companies you’re treated like they think you’re a thief. Set route to run, seals on everything with a security sheet with them on and they’re checked as you enter/leave the hub, Gestapo randomly choosing to follow wagons both from the depot to the hub and from the hub to the depot to make sure you don’t deviate from route or stop for a whizz without ringing in and informing traffic.
