Pulled airlines

Ok I have done it who else has

Me… I was running low on time and rushing doing a trailer change, then had to shoot up to a nearby village, about 10 miles away, to get some stuff out of a cab I had swapped with someone earlier that day. Anyway the trailer I was taking was a really old one and the emergency stop was on the other side, I spent that long looking for it I forgot my lines BANG!.. Oooops

I try and be careful as working with reefers I’m doing more and more split coupling. Forgotten both unit and trailer brake a few times but a few ‘oh sh…’ moments happen.

More often when I’m pulling a trailer out from a tight stack and the trl brake is down near the oil coated legs handle…

Pulled them, stretched them and ripped the gits off.

Lost a red air-line jacking around at a delivery when I first started driving, it got caught on the ratchet for the curtain.

Lost a red airline when it’s been caught on a twist lock

Lost an abs lead when it’s been caught on the bash plate of the trailer

Lost the lot when I was distracted during dropping a trailer

I think most of us have done it more times than we admit to

Oh yea, suprising how long they get before the hiss bang!

I think they’re a lot better for spinning the trailer around when they’ve had a bit of pull on em

Me to

Not even given them a tension test :unamused:

Yeah right, ripped the lot out once, long story short, distracted. Was she worth the embarrassment. Not really

Got the red one caught around the curtain ratchet spinning round once. And a few months back I disconnected everything except (for some reason) the yellow line. I wasn’t distracted, I have no idea why I didn’t disconnect it. Anyway, it stretched out to about two hundred yards long before it broke, and I had to nick the yellow line off the yard shunter.
All irrelevant, since a couple of nights later there was an agency guy driving my unit and the first thing he did was forget to disconnect all of them.

Yep. Talking to a colleague whilst unhitching, usual story. Hence whilst coupling or uncoupling I am now Mr Grumpy and refuse to speak.

Yeah, were all guilty…i pulled a British Airways Plane for charity ( years ago ) was the only thing i ever pulled though, apart from a muscle, and a disc.

WEll the op did say Pulled Airlines

all human, yeah been distracted by them double delights missed turning so knifed it round when i could and well you know the rest funny thing was she passed me again when i was red faced with airline in hand yum yum

Never bust them while dropping a trailer (yet). But once I stopped after pulling forward from under the trailer, got out and the suzis were completely straight. Reversed back took them off, they were ok, albeit 2ft longer than they should have been.

Had a couple hanked on a curtain tensioner handle, that didn’t end well. It was early days, suppose you learn from your mistakes. Of course with DCPC there won’t be any mistakes as we will be all knowledgable and stuff! (Takes tongue out of cheek).

Red airline for me

I couldn’t believe how long this one went to…was amazing really :open_mouth:

Left an Anderson lead connected when I dropped the trailer once.

Although to be fair the load was on fire at the time

^^^^
Lol…think you had every right to. Do you know what started that fire?
